Back-story of the rapper Dok2 (도끼), during instrumentals
Born in 1990, Dok2 is a Korean rapper who entered the hip-hop industry from the young age of 12.
After his family business failed, Dok2 and his brother left home to pursue music to help their family financially. For 2 years he lived in a container box on the roof of a building while continuing to write music.
He never graduated High School, but he wanted to show the world that you don’t need to live a “cookie-cutter” lifestyle to achieve success.
One of his unique achievements was that he released 5 albums in one year by working 365 days straight. He even has an unwritten “contract” with his mother, where 30% of his earnings always goes to her.
Today he is an extremely successful hip-hop musician in Korea and travels the world to hold concerts and owns his own label, “Illionaire Records.”
