I had a crush on this person four years ago. At first I thought it's just a little crush, but as time goes by, it seems like I feel connected to him. Everytime our eyes meet, I can see the pain he's hiding to everyone, like I'm the only who can see his struggles in life. When I heard this song for the first time, I suddenly remembered him. Whenever I'm listening to this song, it feels like I'm wishing him to have a good night sleep even though he barely knows me.
Fast forward, 2022. We became close friends. I don't know how, but the patience in getting to know him paid off. 😅 We already have so many things shared to each other and we found the comfort in each other. He looks happier now than before. I want to say thank you to IU for releasing this masterpiece. Her songs, especially this song, became my guide in helping him to get through to his life. I haven't confessed my feelings to him yet lol, and I have no plans to confess it anymore. I'm now happy that I'm his friend that he can count on. 💜

True!! Nowdays it seems like the new kpop-ers only focus on streaming and racing other fandoms than actually hearing and enjoying the music that's being played. I opened the link to hear what sounded the new entry from my favorite singer. Not to check the views and urge others to increase that number. The fact that the comments are really and genuinely about the song, it shows that IU fans are more mature. And support her because they really enjoy and appreciate her music. Not just because she is famous and pretty.

때깔 좋고.. 멜로 영화 첫 장면을 보는 듯하고.. 영화 같은 영상이었네요.
거기에 아이유의 목소리가 함께 나오니 새벽 감성 대폭발.. 정말 좋았습니다.
아이유는 사랑하고 이별을 해서 그런가... 더 성숙해진 느낌이고 감성이 더더욱 풍성해졌다는 느낌.
아이유 목소리가 참 구슬프게 들리는 경향이 있는데 멜로디도 그래서 그런지 시적인 가사여서 그런지 더더욱 슬프게 들린다.
아이유의 작사 능력은 이미 정평이 나있고 그 능력을 자신의 목소리로 풀어나가는게 그래서 더 대단해보인다.
아이유의 음색은 진짜 소위 음색깡패라고 불리는 가수들 중에서도 진짜 독보적인 음색이 아닌가 싶다.
개인적으로 나는 이 노래가 금만나와 함께 투탑이 아닌가 싶다. 푸르던 나만 모르는 이야기 싫은 날 등 좋은 노래가 있었지만..
금만나 만큼의 느낌을 받지 못했다.
그런데 밤편지는 정말 새벽 1시부터 들었는데 정말 좋았고 느낌이 왔다. 콘서트에서 필히 들어야 할 곡이 아닌가 싶다.

청아하고 담백한 목소리가 너무 좋네요. 가사가 엄청 슬픈 것도 아닌 거 같고 멜로디자체가 애절한 거 같지도 않은데 노래가 진행되면서 감정을 꾹꾹누르며 전달하는 듯한 느낌이 많이 들어서 오히려 노래가 끝나고 여운이 더 많이남네요. 이렇게 느껴서인지는 몰라도 지금까지 곡 중에 감정전달은 정말 최고의곡이라 생각됩니다. 물론 음악에 대해 전문적으로 아는 건 없지만 이 곡은 정말 신경을 많이 쓰시고 고민도 많이 한 거 같아요. 여러가지 생각이 많이 드는 곡이네요. 들으면 들을수록 더 우러나오는 곡인거 같아서 계속 듣게되네요 . 이런 감성의 노래 너무 오랫동안 기다렸어요. 감사합니다. 많은 위로받고 갑니다.

4 years ago i got into Kpop and i knew who she was but i never listened to her songs. Everytime i saw her, i thought she was very cold. Then Scarlet Heart came and i thought to myself "omg why her, please no" BUT wow did she suprise me. She was absolutely amazing then i watched the scarlet heart bts videos and listened to her songs and i fell in love with her. She's so adorable and far far faaaar away from cold hearted and arrogant. She looks wonderful and this song is so beautiful 😍

The thing about IU's music & voice is that it transcends generations.. a twenty something like me can enjoy and relate to is as much as someone a lot older.. which is why she is so successful on the charts even after all these years. Also, she doesn't have a large fanbase as popular idol groups but she's still loved by other celebrities and the public as well. So many younger idols look up to her because she made it to the top on her own sheer will, talent and drive.
She's come a long way & faced so many obstacles yet she has prospered.. I hope she'll never stop.. As long as IU makes music, my world will be just that lil bit happier :')
Tbh I think us Uaena is not a big fandom both internationally or domestically in Korea. Our contribution to IU's success is not that big (if we are big, she could have much higher album sale and concerts). So Uaena fandom owes the Korean public a lot for making our IU big. Many may say Koreans seem to hate her after the scandal but I think it's just a portion of knetizens.
It reminds me of the first time I know IU in 2012. I was exposed to Kpop and looking around what I might like about it. I was quite neutral about all artists I knew, they were good in their own way. Then, I noticed a live performance of a little girl, and her voice was very stable and shockingly good, later I knew her as IU, and I was instantly one of Uaena. I was looking for every information I can get about her, everything. Since then, I only look up to IU and stop looking around. I found my taste of music. Agree, she through a lot to be where she is right now. I only her smile but deep down, uaena know her tears too. Sometimes, her songs (that written by her) are hints about her real self. Basically, IU and Uaena communicate through IU's songs, I guess. She is honest, passionate, loyal, mature, humble, humorist, caring, deep-thought, so on and on.
I found her accidentally watching dream high back in 2011 and hearing her sing.. I was instantly hooked. She sounds so sincere and just lovely you cant help but fall in love. Watching her grow from the awkward little girl who was lonely most of the times to this amazing multi-talented woman, I cant help but feel proud like a mum :') she's a few years younger than me but Im so inspired by her and in awe all the time.
Summer William OMG. this is exactly what happened to me! I stopped looking around when I found IU. She inspires me so much that I am already addicted to her. How I wish I can go to Korea one day and meet her in person.
honestly if it werent for these two monster rookie, mamamoo and suhyun akmu, IU might be the only female singer I like from kpop XD but then again, i like mamamoo as a group and suhyun as part of akmu. so yea, IU is still the only one then?
