The title song ‘I NEED U’ is an urban style electro hiphop song with the harmony of lyrical and oriental main theme and wild hiphop. The song applies electric source for sounds so it feels quite different to the previous songs of BTS. ‘I NEED U’ sings desperate heart trying to hold the love running down to the end.

This is how I interpreted it:
Suga: The girl was playing around with him, using him as some sort of a rebound. The room he was in symbolized her keeping him in the dark, going to him only when she felt like it. The lighter in his hand signified the relationship. The constant flame-on and flame-off thing was like his relationship with her, on and off. When he finally threw the lighter, it was him being done with being her rebound.
J-Hope: The girl used him as a way to boost her confidence. In a way, he carried her flaws. She made him feel so flawed so that she'd be in control instead. Him looking into the mirror, scrutinizing his face was him questioning if it was worth letting her put him down. Those pills in the cupboard signified the girl. She was killing him, draining him of everything and he knew she wasn't worth all that but she was addictive, just like those pills. He had grown so accustomed to her (just like those pills) that he needed a constant dose of her (those pills) just so he wouldn't feel the withdrawal. Him throwing away those pills was him giving up on her. The pills falling bits by bits signified him forgetting her slowly though his expression showed signs of withdrawal.
Taehyung: The girl wasn't his. But the girl constantly went to him, informing him of her abusive boyfriend and Taehyung's just there waiting for her to leave that abusive boyfriend of hers and come to him instead but she couldn't do it. The line "Forgive me" as he made his way was him saying sorry for not doing anything earlier and he also says sorry for helping her in the worst way possible. The part where he wandered about with that rod in his hand was him contemplating his actions but eventually he made up his mind. He heads to her home and "kills" her boyfriend. When that happened, the girl was gone. In other words, she left him because even though he somewhat intended to help her, she still sided her abusive boyfriend. Him crying out expressed his frustration towards her but a second later where his cries decreased a slightly different kind of expression, that was him feeling as though the weight had been lifted off his chest. The weight was her.
Jimin: The girl left him through a note. Him opening the tap signified the start of his sadness. The tub filling up signified him being swallowed by his heartbreak and pain. Him nearly dipping his whole head in was him nearly surrendering to depression but he didn't. Instead, he burned the note. And as it burned, he rose up, the sadness slowly draining away from him. Him letting the note go was him letting go of her.
Rapmon: Him and the girl went about a cycle. Both of them knew it was the end but they let the cycle go on. She had pulled out of the cycle but he was still trying to keep her in. The petroleum station signified the two of them. Just like cars traveling everywhere only to still end up at the station to refill their oil tank, the two went about the cycle only to reach at the very same spot and each time, Rapmon would "add the oil" to attempt at "fueling" their relationship. The lollipop symbolized their relationship as well. Continue sucking on a lollipop and what do you get? Nothing, the flavor never changes, just like how no matter how hard he tried, the relationship wouldn't change. In the end, he accepts the fact that just like the lollipop, their relationship wasn't healthy. Him dumping the lollipop was him breaking out of the cycle.
So what about the rest? Well let me talk about the scenes in which they were together as a group. The first ones were them being together physically but being elsewhere mentally. They didn't communicate, not even when they were walking on the railing. It was them individually pretending to be okay . The second scene in which they were rowdy and all, that was them escaping from the pain, wanting freedom. The end scene was basically the end stage of their recovery. Them sleeping was them finally resting in peace (they didn't die, that's not what I meant HAHA), the pain long gone.
Jin: He represented all of them when they were together but mentally elsewhere. On the outside, they play it cool but on the inside, they were crying. The rose petals Jin laid out in the floor was the guys offering their love to the girl but the petals catching fire was the girl toying around with them, leaving the remnants of their love towards the girl. But Jin was basically the side of a guy which is seldom seen for guys always play it off as though they're okay.
Jungkook: He symbolized them when they were rowdy and making their escape. Those bruises on him signified them getting hurt along the way as well as them being willing to "take a beating" for her but his scoff-smile was a way of showing that they were done with the girl. Jungkook wandering about and nearly getting hit by a car symbolized them being in a lost state, feeling completely numb before that whole escape thing.
And there you go. :)
