It seems that IU monopolizes love and support from the Korean legendary artists as if she is the chosen one. LOL.

Personally, I think it's nice how she's singing older songs and paying homage to senior artists. I like that IU has given us the opportunity to remind us of these earlier songs. :)
And I think it shows that IU respects her seniors' opinion by having them come down and listening to the remakes. She wouldn't want to disappoint them by remaking a song without their knowledge :)
Paul P you put my thoughts into words.😂 Yeah super agree with this but in a positive way. She wants the younger generation to appreciate beautiful old songs that she enjoy and put her color into it. This is one of the reason she is in a diff. level from other artist.

Is it because other idols don't care for older artists. IU appreciates them and loves their songs and wanted to remake them to modern taste so that younger generations would know these amazing songs.
