+Shelby High I must say that after watching him on this past Infinity Challenge (which was a nice surprise that he, Hyukoh, IU, and Dragon & Taeyang were all on there - love them all for separate reasons though Zion. T is my favorite artist) it was charming to see how quiet and awkward he is in front of variety cameras. Made him more endearing since everything he does is gold!

I know this song literally says "You're beautiful without Makeup on" but I think it can also mean something else
Like "You're beautiful as yourself". Maybe that she puts up a front and pretends to always be perfect and happy, but she's actually going through a rough time. And Zion.T wants her to know it's okay to not be okay, that she can be her true self with him (hence "You seem tired, rough day maybe")... at least that's how I interpret it

I knew this song was going to just be a song about telling you not to wear makeup because we are beautiful anyways by the title. And honestly I didn't really think it would change my view on myself.
I would constantly call my self ugly and fat and put myself down in front of others and in front of myself while looking in the mirror. I realize now that other people view me differently than I see myself, and that I don't have to be pleased with myself because a lot of people already love me for who I am.
I love how Zion.T's songs are always about caring about someone like in eat, it was to make sure you eat and not overwork yourself, and in working it was about your parents taking care of you and now it's your responsibility or something. And now a song about caring about yourself and loving yourself. Honestly he's the best solo artist don't fight me.

You know, there was a time when I was sooo critical as to how I look. I would subconsciously have all this criteria what makes a nose beautiful, what makes a face shape beautiful and I would be so picky. However that changed and a few days ago I was looking in the mirror and I remembered that and I thought "hey, let's try applying all those silly criteria again..." and I was stunned... four years ago I would've hated the image in the mirror, for some reason I thought of so many things on my face as ugly. Now I don't, I find them just fine and normal and some of them even charming and pretty. But back then I was so narrow minded!
One thing that helped me change was to observe others and see that so many have the same features. Another thing was to realize that I don't view others so critically, that if I think about it they're sooo far away from my criteria, but I see them as beautiful and I've obviously set those criteria up only for my self. Which is not only sad, moronic and hypocrite, it's also kinda cocky. :D
Anyways, I'm so happy I've managed to change the view on my own self. Now I can also help others open their eyes, since I was pretty extreme with my own self and I know what that feels like. I would always tell people they look beautiful without make-up, but if I don't truly understand what they feel they'll never believe me. But when I talk to someone and they tell me their insecurities and I respond to them sincerely it's way different. Sometimes when I listen to this song I wish I could meet Zion T and just put this song on and dance to it and sing a long, just chillin', because its message is what I've been wanting to convince people in for so long. ^^ I love this song.

that's what I thought lol, but I think Haesol always manages to make his songs with deeper meaning. He's sorta reminds me of Drake, his lyrics always get you feeling some type of way~ but I don't think they're songs are related, just a coincidence
+pearlbustan The title is actually different, they just both got translated to "No Make Up" for some reason. The one with Gaeko more literally translates to "I washed off my makeup" while this one is actually just plain ol "No Make Up"
