    Great video guys! You brushed through the most important tip for me, which is regarding the external battery. Does it work while plugged-into a powerbank? Want to know if it'll work with an external battery to extend the shooting time. Thanks!

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  5 년 전 +1

      Thanks Ken! Yes you can use the One X while it is plugged to a powerbank. The only restriction is that you cannot remove the battery (if you remove the battery, it will not operate even if it is plugged to a powerbank). The other limit is the speed of the memory card -- if it is too slow, then the camera will overheat sooner.

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  5 년 전 +2

      Thanks Bill! For the bitrate, just choose "original." Whatever bitrate you get is pretty much as good as it gets. Beyond that, there is no real detail being added, although it may be able to have less deterioration with editing. The bitrate is around 20mbps for freecapture because we're only using a small portion of the entire frame. Another tip is to use the no-stitch workflow when editing on Premiere or Studio for One X in order to get the best quality. Check out my tutorials here:

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  4 년 전 +1

      thanks Copkonig. One X can take non360 photos. The advantage is that you can choose any angle, and you'll never miss the shot. That's why it's great for group shots and selfies. When you can decide the angle then you can export that view, or change the view and export another view. The disadvantage is that the photo will be less detailed compared to a gopro.

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  5 년 전

      Hey there herling. I'm sorry to hear about your lost GoPro. But yes 360 is amazing. You can use 360 to take normal footage but it's usually better to use both lenses for maximum stabilization and to create the invisible flying camera effect. Hi JS. Sure! Here are some:
      1. As soon as the Venture Case becomes available, I recommend getting it to protect your camera.
      2. Turn on the shutter: fast option in the camera menu.
      3. In the settings menu, try shooting 4k50fps, and in postprocessing, and alternate between hyperlapse or slow motion (timeshift)
      4. Use direction hold so that the camera will stabilize in the direction that you are moving

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  5 년 전 +1

      @@CaptainStrak no you can't remove the battery even if you are connected to USB powerbank. You must have a battery in the camera. The recording stops after 30 minutes because the cache is full and it needs to write the data.

      Thank you very much for the answer! I just ask because I have sometimes the case that I would place the camera inside in a room and Film for 4 hours. This means with the cable I dont have to change the battery and I just have 10 second breaks each 30min right? Because with the GoPro Fusion it is possible to record with an external power source without having a battery inside for example for an extended time lapse. Saves the battery.

    • @360vroomers
      @360vroomers  5 년 전

      @@CaptainStrak Hi Alex. Yes Fusion has better endurance compared to One X. But with Fusion, the files will be very large in prores or cineform. As for One X, you don't have to change the battery if it is connected to USB powerbank. The battery can be empty and it will still work. But if you remove the battery then it won't turn on at all, even if it is connected to a USB powerbank.

      Hey there 110%! Each 5.7K video has two files (one for the front lens, and the other for the rear lens). Do not delete either one. Do not rename them. You must keep them in the same directory. When you open either file in Studio or Premiere, it will automatically load the other file, so don't worry, there won't be duplication.

      Hi Andy. Sorry, Studio doesn't have the option to change the file naming scheme. For what it's worth, the file names of the unstitched files use the recording date / time (as long as the camera has connected at least once to the phone app to sync the camera to internet time).

      Hi Jason. I have not tried a 24 hr time lapse myself but it may be possible by connecting the insta360 one x to a usb power pack. The maximum length of a time lapse video depends on the shooting interval. For example one frame per second or one frame per 10 seconds.
