One only has to look at this particular portrait to understand something of the rare flowering of the human genius ... pain and suffering were the two dark horsemen who hauled the mud spattered carriage containing this treasure in to his world, our world and worlds to come. I am a poet and I wrote a poem 'Chopin in Scotland'... Worth remembering that Nietzsche left the Wagner party early and tearfully embraced Chopin in Venice.

His music is like finely carved crystal ware refracting rainbows from the candlelight shining through it. It lingers in the air and in the heart long after it has ceased to sound. It exists beyond time and fills time. It is the language of the deepest longing, mystery, regret, hope, joy, and the soul.

I can only think that something from outside normal reality came
to exist in Chopin's imagination perhaps from somewhere we call Heaven.
I have often wondered whether he could sing.? His melodies feel to me as if they started in his breast , wanted to come up through hto his voice but lungs not unable help. i know he loved to listen to good lady singers. But tell me, how did he find the energy and the time to compose such perfect music whilst suffering so much healthwise , coughing up blood, and so often relapzi g into extremem weakness?. So much wonderful joy he has given us thenr dying at the tender age of 39. His music has got to have come from Heaven, hasn't it?. It is unique.
      Pn

Evidently it is Francois Chaplin. For if you expand the description and click on one of the pieces, it leads to the same piece performed by him, and it sounds the same to me.
I am grateful to 432 Restoration for providing this, and of course more grateful to Chaplin for playing them. But questions remain, which only begin with: why is there no Wiki article on Chaplin, but there is one for every third-rate European football player who ever lived (no offense, soccer fans)? Well, apparently Horowitz made the obligatory remark somewhere about 'the world falling apart,' so there it is ;) Or to put it another way, why are tens of millions of people currently obsessed with an old song by Kate Bush?
But I digress, cantankerously? Each to their own, I guess.

Wonderfully played, while letting the music speak for itself, without any loss of its purity. His artistry is in his restraint, since the music is beautiful as written. My only quibble is that I detect that somehow this was recorded with a "soft echo" enhancement effect, which I think is detrimental to the performance. It's like he's in a big glass-lined box, alone, with the music bouncing around. It's not him --- it's a recording judgment. I'm hoping that it's just this site (he's on many others doing the nocturnes, where this "reverb" is hopefully absent). That aside, this would be a performance for the ages. Just went to other sites where the same album can by played. Same disturbing "ambience" is present. And, sad to say, it bothers me.

Non vi è una reale valenza scientifica né tantomeno artistica o squisitamente musicale in tale scelta. Quindi smettetela con queste baggianate! Andate a studiare la Musica così saprete di cosa parlo e di cosa (s)parlate!
