When the cars finally broke from repeated jumps on the ramped sidewalk...the tires were the highlight. Toy tires make unbelievable entertainment, showed my son this idea a few weeks ago,pretty sure the cars are all missing wheels now.
Me and a friend did this for a whole weekend when I was about 12 I lived in Colorado. My friend lived on dirt mountain road with switchbacks. His dad had a whole barn full of old tires he wanted to get rid of....do I need to say more???? So much fun!

We can't do anything like this in the land of the free. Our overlords think it is way to dangerous. They are looking out for our safety because they care so much about us. They would need every agency in the country to do 10 years of studies and research to make sure it was OK to write 25 permits to allow such a dangerous sport to take place for one day. Refs, official judges, three weeks of building safety containment areas and 20 licenses and training courses. 10 million dollars later there would be a possible approval or denial.

I love how dramatic and suspenseful everything on Japanese TV is. The announcers sound like they're confronting the man that killed their parents. Then there's some random laughter thrown in.

We can't do anything like this in the land of the free. Our overlords think it is way to dangerous. They are looking out for our safety because they care so much about us. They would need every agency in the country to do 10 years of studies and research to make sure it was OK to write 25 permits to allow such a dangerous sport to take place for one day. Refs, official judges, three weeks of building safety containment areas and 20 licenses and training courses. 10 million dollars later there would be a possible approval or denial.
I would like to see this done in USA, but still have the announcers speak Japanese

Rolling tires downhill is fun and this adds a "scientific" air to the fun. But that last tire wiping out the ramp was hilarious.

I love how they keep showing footage of ski jumpers. Just constantly reminding the audience over and over that _'Hey, this is kind of like ski jumping, except with tyres instead of people'_
