“ Truth is good for kids, we so busy lying, we don’t recognize the truth anymore in society “ Proud of this man. Deion saying what needs to be said
Absolutely right
This is exactly what people don't want to hear anymore.. They need it, its life..
Let America say, Amen!🙏🏿
Repeat that sentiment in your own communities. You never want to admit the truth about what is wrong--and what you need to do to fix those major issues. I mean, since we're crusading for truth-telling and all.
Was in the store today and Deion was the topic of conversation this lady was trying to convince me well these two other gentleman’s about it’s good Colorado winning but she just tired of Prime behavior and me and the lady locked eyes I smiled and said No, what behavior are you speaking of? She couldn’t answer the question. He teaches life lessons as he benched his own kid before in a championship game and pulled a former NFL player kid from the game this past weekend because he missed a FG and replaced him. Correction often gets viewed as discipline and that’s notorious wrong.
Legend. Nothing but Truth and facts
🎯
He comes off kind of arrogant though.
He is asked, "Who is the best coach?"
Then he asks if they have a mirror. It's pretty cringe.
I know all his fanboys in this comment section will look past that though.
First
@Sean Kernanyou obviously haven’t seen any videos of him joking around because that’s his humor
@Sean Kernanà
Deion Sanders did not abandon the mission of Jackson State. He achieved his mission at Jackson State. He made them relevant, he brought attention to historical black colleges and universities, he raised tens of millions of dollars to assist at that school, and took them two consecutive national championship games. Mission Accomplished
I don’t hate him for doing what’s best for himself. Coaches do it all the time. Urban’s Meyer…Lane Kiffin…etc.
With that said, Jackson St was only relevant when he was there. They’re not a story anymore sadly.
💯💯💯💯 it was not his job to remedy the unfortunate racial, political and financial issues at Jackson State.
Then left and heard nothing of them since JOB accomplished he stepped over them to get to real football and soon reality hits him in face and he is exposed as more hype than skill as coach. has not beat a real good team and probably never will.
I agree…Deion was hired as a COACH, in Mississippi not the mayor, city council member, senator or governor. Get over it already
Superstar as an athlete and now Superstar as a coach. I wish him all the success
Jesus Christ of the supernatural star y
soul need to shine!
When coach Prime said “GOD didn’t lead me to a place where I can be successful…HE leaded me to a place that was going to be hard and difficult..” that really is what I needed to hear. Thank you for reminding me coach Prime for that message! I needed to hear it.
Amen!
Deion speaks in cliches. He was NEEDED in Jackson, MS. His own desires took him to Boulder, CO.
great preaching can this fool coach at this level and win enough games to be anything? I will wait to see more than 3 games to crown him a king of football
@RT 22Fool?!? Go read what Jesus taught on calling a man a fool...btw..."what's in your wallet bruh?
I do not follow fictional characters from fictional books. But thanks for playing I am a fool cause I belive a book that is full of BS aka bible
I didnt even know this show was still on the air. I am here for Prime Time. This country needs a lot more men like him. God bless.
Coach Prime, 18 years removed from being a football player but still changing the game. #Salute
25+ years removed from being a real football player. The stint with the Ravens was a publicity stunt, just like this Colorado business. Once Oregon beats Colorado on Saturday, there'll be a flood of excuses to protect him. He's about to go on a major losing streak.
While dancing and smiling REAL BIG!!!!
FU** DEION!!!
@Paul Reboca🫵🤡🤣
@Zenigundamyour life is a major losing streak
@Zenigundamas long as they finish better than last year thats all that matters. Progress.
Deion is not only a coach to the kids, he's also a mentor and father figure, especially to those kids who never had a father figure in their life while growing up in a single mother household.
I’m a Ducks fan butI have to tell you this man is showing the world what college football can be .. Respect! .. Thank You SIR!
Ducks fan for life! Love my Ducks
I love the ducks. I’m from Hawaii and Mariota played HS football in my backyard. But I love Deion. Will be a good game tmrw.
Deon is all about Deon!!!
When they lose, and they will, he will blame it on his players and distance himself from the loss!!!
@1965Gritjust be happy for the brotha white man smh
Amazing when he said “We old school. We teach with discipline.” None of these young kids will ever understand my generation of “ You Got to earn it.”
Facts
Exactly 👌
Gibberish, every kid has to earn their spot , unless your DAD is the coach. Give me a break
For those of you just getting introduced to this man and his personality, he’s been PHENOMENAL. A lot of us kids especially without fathers around wanted to be him from the 90s into the 2000s
Ambush journalism handled like a champ.
yeah tried to get him on why he”abandoned his mission” in Jackson State
EXACTLY.... trash reporting
You saw that too. This dudes interview was more insulting than anything in my opinion. Honestly it shows their insecurity.
Prime was on his game for that one
It's not an ambush. He sat across from the man and asked him a question face to face. Just because you don't like the question doesn't make it an ambush. Just means YOU wouldn't have had an answer and would've crumbled.
I love Deion. Completely threw it back in the reporters face, stood on the principles that made him and did not back down. We need people like this in our schools teaching our students.
What he did to the late Tim McCarver back in 1992 was a scumbag move.
I think it’s reasonable to believe that there were some underhanded dealings with Jackson State finances and Prime is too good of a man to open that can of worms. This country was built on people that did great things and wanted to help America, not people who try to question moves. This man is the type of human being that makes the world a better place. If black men, all men, molded the way they tackle situations and look at problems like Coach Prime does, the world would be a much better place.
Great family man. Great kids. Lifelong friends. Makes everyone around him better. God is good.
He did open a school. Look it up
So true!
So your kids can beat up their truth-telling teachers when they take away their cell phone in class?
We've been listening to Deion for 20+ years. He is REAL. and he is one of the very best.
Deion is a great father and God fearing man and that’s what a lot of these kids need to have in their lives.
a God fearing Man is humble and doesnt cheat on his wife
Not so much God parsee. But great fathers for these young men and women that are truly lost in a world of soul taxation and serious exploitation.
@Mac PrideKing David was a man after God’s very own heart. Jesus was crucified because we couldn’t keep all of God’s commandments.
Gotta love him for being truthful and being honest to these kids and staff, a real coach.
Deion Sanders, AKA, COACH PRIME, is truly a coach like no other! I am sure the parents of those kids on his team are overjoyed to have their sons coached & mentored by him. How many kids will EVER be able to say that they spent their college playing years in the presence of a football legend who poured his wisdom & knowledge into them? Deion is a blessing to those young men and women that are all a part of the Colorado staff.
💯🎯
A very special down to earth man and decent honest humble man. He made being a sports fan in general fun and inspiring in this difficult decade. We love you Deion Sanders.
No drug charges. No domestic violence charges. No DUI. No steroids , no goofing off. No shootings at a club at 2am.
But he does wear a cap and sunglasses.
But when it’s night time, he doesn’t need to such as for the Colorado state game. Nobody ever notices that his wearing sunglasses happens to be in daytime
Don't forget he don't play dirty either unlike CSU
😂😂😂😂
GREAT comment
Prime… dude ain’t ever been that clean! He don’t know what you’re talking About 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
"I don't fly fish. But I'm fly while I fish."
One of the best quotes in the whole segment.
Coach Prime is the truth no sugar coating no holding back just real...respect 💯
It’s electrifying to watch him and hear him. Deion is one of the best coaches the way he motivates believes and trusts and loves his guys the way he’s teaching them life skills and to be men.
I am so happy for and proud of Coach and his boys. They deserve everything God has for them. They work hard for it all. I apologize as a Jacksonian, for Jackson not appreciating all he did for our city directly and indirectly. Keep being great. Primetime Baby. 💃💃
I love what he is doing, no nonsense, and the truth. He is a mentor, and a good man. It will be interesting to see how well he does once his kids and their talented friends move on. That will be the test of his coaching abilities. That being said I love what he is doing for college FB and the fun he has put back into being a fan.
There is a difference between an elusive answer and an answer that a reporter didn’t want to hear 😎
Thank you ! Seemed more like he was trying to make him look bad !
Well the reporter wanted the dirt. Wanted Deion to call out the behind the scenes things that took place, and he refused to do that to a HBCU or black people even for 60 minutes
@Justin Ellisreporters are supposed to ask the tough questions. Deion said ppl need to hear the truth, reporters are there to get the truth. Don’t be a hypocrite
This is the great comment for this video 🙌🏽🙌🏽
@codkue5142 the reporter was trying to be messy and Prime set him straight
This Man, Coach, Father is a perfect example of what happens when talent is matched by not only effort but tempered with a Good heart he practices what he literally preaches. Great Man period
Such a breath of fresh air! Tough love is going to make those kids into healthy adults that can overcome adversity! This is what it's all about asking kids to be at their best and not apologizing for it what all educators and coaches should be doing the results speak volumes
Exactly 👌
This man’s confidence is absolutely beautiful!! I’m not a football fan at all but I’m locked in
More people would love and respect him if he was truly humble
@Mac Pridecoach Prime likes to congratulate himself. He doesn’t have to but wants to
Loves the spot light on the cameras but when you see him interacting with the team, coaches, and community. He's truely a great coach and has the right people around him.
Coach Prime so humbly put that reporter in his place at every turn.
Being honest to the kids. That's what life is about, choices. Deon uses physiology to teach young mind's to believe in themselves. Honesty.
He didn't abandon Jackson State.
Most coaches leave before the bowl game. He stayed and coached that game.
He gave Jackson State plenty of notice before leaving. Some coaches, like Midnight Mel, promise to stay, but then get on a plain in the middle of the night without even saying bye to their players.
Deion did right by Jackson State period. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know how college football works.
Correct!
The interviewer has an ulterior motive…..that much is clear. By saying that Sanders abandoned the mission in Jackson and by calling him elusive he seems to be attempting to create his own narrative. Epic fail! Sanders showed resolve and stood on his square!
@Emmanuel7lionstop it, you don’t know his motives and aren’t willing to say there are legit different perspective that can coexist. Primes POV is not the only thing that matters
When Michael Vick was convicted Petrino sneaked out long before the end of the season abandoning his team in the middle of the night. But you got problems with Deion leaving after changing the program.
"...get on a PLANE in the..."
Awesomeness!! I hope they continue to do well this season!
It amazes me that his confidence makes them want him to be humble like it intimidates them or something when he’s just being who he’s always been and he knows who he is and what he’s called to do.
Need more coaches like prime. When I was a kid I always said I was deion sanders he was my hero lol. every year in football I was number 21 except my first year in Texas that number was taken so I went with 41. But God we need more coaches like him from little league to the pros
Edit: I went to watch him play in 95’ in Atlanta when he left the falcons for ✭ dallas the last year the ✭ cowboys ✭ won the superbowl. Keep up the killer work coach 💪🏼
This man is exactly what he knows he is. I've been a huge fan since he played at FSU. His work ethic is second to none.
One of the best interviews I’ve ever seen. Prime is simply the best
There is absolutely nothing wrong with a MAN knowing his worth and standing on it. You GO Deion! I'm quite proud of you. 👏🏾
So valuable for all our kids.
@His Kingdom Grows😢😂😂😂❤🎉🎉
His record at Colorado this year won’t match his arrogance. 🤷🏻♂️
@343jwright5 it's always arrogance when a black man shows any type of confidence. I'm sure you love Trump's arrogance though lol
Truth!!!!💯
This man is living the dream!!! It is so much fun watching his program grow!!
Deion! I'm a Gator, 1993. You let me say Deion! in the press box and Terry Bradshaw looked back too. Thank you for all of this, Coach. My coach had to teach me how to tie my shoes. You mean a lot to all of us, Terry too! Too cute at our age. You may never know what you did, but you all did it right.
2:48 is pure gold. The man just has a certain way with words that captivates you
This is why I respect the guy… the confidence ❤
When he said I'm not a baby daddy I'm a father. That right there as a black father that stepped up touched me.
I love how Coach Prime won’t allow anyone to put words in his mouth. In everything he does he is intentional! Love him! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
There’s no room to do so when his mouth is so full of words
Oh Blake relax. Every humans mouth is full of words and one’s mind is full of thoughts. What differs is Deion chooses not to hide neither.
@Blake Alexander when you have won a Super Bowl and a World Series, coached at almost EVERY level (next is NFL) have 5 successful grown children, retired your Mother from working for many years, he has the RIGHT to express himself and he does it EXTREMELY well!
I’ll wait to see if you’ve accomplished any of the above.
Too many people are too PC nowadays
Loved watching his NFL career as a kid. Enjoying him as a coach. Prime time!
Much continued success to you Coach!❤
13:19 Coach Prime even made 60 Minutes a winner during the interview. Fantastic interview and principals. Right on!!
The world needs more Primetime! What an example for everyone. May he continue to make a difference, even if for 60 minutes, for time is relevant but the truth is everlasting.
What an amazing story to witness! Deion has been a 🐐🐐🐐 for a long time and deserves all his flowers!💕💕💕💕💕💕
"Truth is good for kids" enough said. Smartest, most honest man in a public role we've all heard from in a long time.
That’s real
Absolutely
For real, can we get him into American politics by any chance? These idiot kids NEED to hear the truth
Right!!
That answer extended way beyond the game of football....just take a look at what kids are being allowed/encouraged/groomed to do these days. That was FACTS Deion!
I love him & his confidence! The only type of ppl who don’t like confidence ppl are ppl who need some of their own! We should ALL feel like & KNOW that we’re the best at what we do or at least striving to be.❤
First time seeing coach prime. I loved him as a player and I would damn sure want to play for him. He sounds like an amazing coach.
#CoachPrime
As Good as it gets.
We need more like him!
The optimistic and charming swagger mixed with fearless honesty and discipline is what this country has lost and desperately needs to get back. Refreshing to see Prime reminding Americans how do be Ameircan.
Love it! His energy is what we need right now ❤
The way Prime rose above this interviewers strange energy and questions is respectable and why I love him. He wanted to paint the narrative of a egotistical fool and instead he met a God fearing warrior.
Strange energy is spot on 😂
💯
wow! your discernment and eloquent is on point
interviewer gives me “wolf in sheep clothing “ vibes
@VibesAndDiagnosis
Amazing comment💯
Nothing but love got Coach Prime. Deion is one of the best players ever. I love seeing him coach and seeing his kids in the game.
Not often does someone come in your life you never want to disappoint. This is one of them.
His confidence is a thing of beauty.
People need to realize, coaching isn't something that Deion needs to do.. He's choosing to be a leader to these impressionable young men and I imagine many of them will be so much better for it.. I'm here in Boulder County Colorado and the energy he's brought to this community is like nothing else I have ever seen!
I live in Boulder. Following a devastating urban wildfire and a grocery store shooting, the Boulder community really took some hits and lost some neighbors the last couple of years. The energy he has brought not just to the school but to the town of Boulder has been incredible. He's changing the vibe of everything. One man is doing all this. It's incredible.
Durango resident here, love the guy, honestly surprised the liberal establishment isn't offended up there in the people's republic.
So why so much hate from college coaches, Monday morning couch QBs, sports writers, and the Good Ole Boys?
Thank you for telling us how the City of Boulder has been positively affected. Will you please share anything you know about how money has been pouring into the City? How has it helped businesses? Has the increased traffic and number of people hindered privacy or anything else?
It takes UNITY to make a GREAT COMMUNITY
Awesome!! It looks so beautiful there. I would love to visit!!
I’m glad he’s doing well with something that he loves to do!👏🏽👍🏾
This dude is great I loved him as a player and I think I love him more as a coach just by his way of touching players hearts
You like to see tough questions asked to get to the reality of a person. Give and take. Prime did well as expected. ❤
Deion Sanders is a beautiful man. I first became a fan when he came to my hometown to play for the Cincinnati Reds. I had always known how smart he was but here he joined and became a real teammate. I have followed him since through his made up media contrrovoseries, where I was on Deion's side, through his hilarious bumble bee commercials, through his stints as a commentator, and then as a coach. This man is breath of fresh air!!! Love you Deion!
His greatest skill is that he can motivate and inspire people to perform 10x beyond their actual ability. Colorado is very lucky to have him and I hope he stays. He's only played three games here as coach so far, but he's already made history in just that very short period of time. Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, TCU, Oregon...all but forgotten in the minds of every young player coming up through the ranks. Now, every single high school star in the country dreams of being a Buff and playing for Coach Prime. He's already made his mark here - and Boulder will never be the same!
I can’t imagine what I could have accomplished if I had a man like Prime in my life when I was young.
frfr
Facts.
We used to have more men like him.
It ok we got him now it ain’t never too late to learn and change , let’s go he said we here , progress never stops even if we old ,
Nobody but God what he’s doing with Deion and Colorado. This is the light and I love he gives God the glory every second. He’s bringing the world together for a great cause, this is bigger than a 3-0 run. He’s literally a shining light! This what happens when you walk in your calling! So excited to see what’s next! WE HERE! GO BUFFS!!! ❤❤❤❤
Deion…WOW…you’re old school, but you still teach. You played professionally, and you’re still a professional. You endured hardship, but it made you hard as a rock. You got no room for nonsense, but you got plenty of room in your heart to invest into other’s lives. 👊🏾
❤️ this man is amazing ALWAYS have been very humble and genuine! Glad the his team has him there gonna go far! Gotta go to a game
Love the vibe that Deion project, total confidence. "I think I will succeed, therefore i will succeed".
He has energized me and I don' even play football.
Lol, me too.
I agree.
😂 same but I want to
🤣🤣🤣
NICE…and Good For You…and the rest of us😁
Dr Deion Humility was shown throughout this interview.
Superb.
This interview put a smile on my face. Glad you came to the SWAC and really shed some light on it and its amazing programs. Hate you left, but I TRULY understand! Be blessed.
The fact that people revile Deion just shows how much evil is still in the world. Like people just don’t like certain people succeeding in this country still. It’s a shame. It’s way more fun rooting for him. The dude is an A+ human being and probably one of the most talented people in the history of sports. Dude killed it as a player and now we all are seeing, what a lot of us already knew…that he’s a genius.
I served is a special military unit and his comments and commitment are NOT any different. Weed out the weak and cultivate the strong and willing. Keep doing what you're doing Coach Prime.
"My kids, that play for me, they didn't choose the university. They chose me. That's the difference." Deion Sanders
Every time I hear coach Prime speak I walk away with nuggets. Not just sports related, but life lessons. He is must-see TV
Where is that expression from i never heard i lived in texas and washington
I was born in 92, but I love this dude and after watching his highlights and seeing who he actually is, there's nobody else I'd rather believe in.
This dude can sell ice cubes to Eskimos and peanuts to elephants a real certified motivator and inspirator much luv and success to coach prime time Deion Sanders and his young men all that come in contact with his message hard work and dedication is the only thing that gives us all true gratification
Amen! Amen! Congratulations and Many Blessings Coach Prime, Staff and Colorado Buffaloes!❤❤❤❤
Excellence, confidence exudes from him & his boys. Great job, keep up the great work Prime.
"My kids that play for me, they didn't choose to play for the school, they chose to play for ME, theres a difference"
Daaaaam that's cold! To say Dion is a legend would be an understatement🙏🙏
His confidence is inspiring
Nice
Good
First
Good
Nice
Deion Sanders has been consistent his whole life about hard work and athleticism. Keep being you Coach Prime. (Man of God, father, coach, leader, mentor, etc)
Love it! I’m not necessarily a fan or an un-fan, but his message is right on! We don’t need more coddling of these people.
Yo Coach Prime you have my respect and support
Let's get it because a victory for one is a victory for us all
And yes time to put the spotlight on their fear which holds us back
He won his last team a conference championship and earned this opportunity. He finished his job and now hes onto a bigger challenge
He will not let an interviewer trip him up he says what he means and means what he say......I just 💜 him his personality is phenomenal🥰......
"He has forgotten more than I may ever accomplish." That's humility! Being confident isn't arrogance! LOVE DEION!
Yeah that left me thinking
Fa realz ................. Deion is super confident ...........and ain't nothing wrong with it!! We love Deion!! ❤💯
That really giving flowers to your peers
Hes full of himself. Arrogant is not confidence.
It may not be realistic but I like most other Alabama fans would love to see his name at least be mentioned for the job when Saben decides to hang it up
Love every moment of this interview
Deion is that dude for real. A real inspiration true leader. So cool so respected. A Legend one of one real talk
Thank God for turning also restoring Rick George’s career and for him recruiting Prime!!! Great duo!!! I know Rick and his family are so happy. God bless them all!!!❤❤❤
You gotta love this guy's humbleness and confidence! He even acknowledges Nick Saban and he loves him so sweet old Ms.Peggy! We love you Deion ❤🐘🦬
I would have loved to play for Deion. He has a presence that just fires you up without him saying a word!
We have to protect Deion at all cost he's great for this generation of kids
Exactly 💯
How are you going to protect him at all costs? What does that even mean?
It’s like pops leaving mom for a white woman 😂 White Ice Sanders
unlike your youtube name.
Tha man doesn't need your protection he wants your support get it right
Let’s see how things go after a few seasons. Best of luck to him. Seems like a smart guy.
Coach prime gives me major pain vibes and I love it 😂
I actually love his attitude.. this is a cut throat world..nothing is given.. its all about being the best u can be..
Deion is going to have top 5 recruiting class this year the atmosphere that he has created is enough to by pass all the other hoopla schools all over the country I see alot of Texas and Ohio athletes considering. I want to play for him right now and I'm 60.
I swear, watching Prime in this decade is a whole lot like watching Muhammad Ali in the late 1960s. I'm serious on this.
Yes, they both would talk your ears off if you let them. They're both gregarious, articulate, entertaining, with just enough substance behind their style that makes them both that rarity of sports mouths: glib. They create all the energy when they come into their field of battle, whether it's the boxing ring or a 60,000-seat stadium. Nothing is held back. There is no apparatus that slows the thought down on its way to the mouth.
And yes, if you want to call it trash talk, they both could back it up. Two of the greatest athletes of the 20th Century. Ali was always a cultural touchstone as a young black man running his mouth in an era where young black men could get lynched for the same thing, but Deion is becoming the same kind of icon, the kind of man where everyone wants to listen to what he has to say. Deion has lived THE football life, there are few men ever who have been so successful their entire lives on the gridiron, and right now his coaching and his verbage are taking over for what his body used to do. Just as Ali ran through the heavyweight division and redefined what it is to be a boxer, Prime is doing the same thing with coaching football.
And the last thing you ever want to do with either Ali or Deion is give them bulletin board material. Don't say even the littlest thing to get them going on making it personal. Just as Prime ran with it when Jay Norvell talked about hats and glasses, Ali took personal slights as inspiration to wage all-out war. How many fighters continued to call him Clay, how many had Ali shouting at them throughout the fight SAY MY NAME as he brutalized and humiliated them?
We love both Ali and Deion, but we also know Ali was hated by a lot of White America. Deion feeds into this, you've seen it in his interviews, playing up the fact that he annoys the football establishment simply by being a brash, successful black man in a profession where we're still talking about the need for more blacks. Prime has always rubbed more conservative people the wrong way, just as Ali did.
Just as Jack Johnson did a hundred years ago.
Just as Jim Brown and Bill Russell did when they balanced their sports careers with their activism.
Throw in Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and pretty much any black man who did not cater to the insecurities of White America.
To a lesser extent, maybe LeBron James, Colin Kaepernick, and any athlete told to "shut up and dribble" would be part of this fraternity.
Whatever Johnson, Ali, and Brown were in their day, Deion is that for this generation.
