Can confirm from patients side at least. (This is based on my own personal experience) New nurses not ALL of them but at least 4-5 I met shouldn’t have been in the RN. Profession.. From talking about patients were I and other patients could hear them with our room doors shut…(they talked about how disgusted patient a was due to x open wounds ect. It’s sad I get their jobs can be mentally taxing but if you hate it that much one you shouldn’t be in that profession and two you shouldn’t ever talk badly about patients when they are in ear shot!

Yea, i got yelled at by my preceptor inside the patients room so loud that all the other nurses down the hall heard her. I was just a newgrad. They had to separate me to dayshift and a new preceptor to give me a better learning experience. Nursing sucks when ur a newgrad. Now 8 yrs into the job, i always feel bad for all the newgrads when their preceptors are mean people. I wish i could take all of them under my wing
