    The heat shield hold on but not enough for reentry it only last for 15-20 minutes before interphase explosion 💥 you can see the tiles ripped off chucks need more more cameras on the booster re-entry of the booster re-entry for the starship more cameras and booster from landing both vehicles needs cameras on all angles❤❤❤❤❤❤

    The colour of the plasma as the rocket stage encounters friction is quite impressive....and meaningful, but am curious as to what gas was causing it?

    • @jacobcastro1885
      @jacobcastro1885 14 일 전

      During reentry (hypersonic) the air in the atmosphere can't get out of the way fast enough. The air is compressed so much, which heats is up to a temperature that becomes the plasma we see (incandescent?).

    • @jacobcastro1885
      @jacobcastro1885 14 일 전

      ***compression, not friction. I learned that today. 👍

    • @JonoSeneff
      @JonoSeneff 14 일 전

      @jacobcastro1885 is right. When a spaceship re-enters Earth's atmosphere, it compresses the air in front of it because it's traveling at hypersonic speeds. This compression causes the air to heat up significantly. Due to the intense heat, the molecules and atoms in the air ionize, meaning they lose electrons and create plasma. This plasma envelops the spacecraft, forming what is known as a plasma field. It's this field that can block radio signals, leading to a communication blackout. But because starship is so big, the starlink satellites on the leeward side of the ship were able to stay in contact with the satellites for continuous transmission. Shuttle and Apollo were unable to communicate with earth during re-entry.

    • @noelstarchild
      @noelstarchild 13 일 전

      @@JonoSeneff Yes, but it was the specific colour of the ionizing gas that entrigued me. Each molecule/atom when ionizing has a specific spectrum identity, so was wondering was it oxygen, oxygen isotope ozone, nitrogen(most likely) or the basic mixture of all atmospheric gases(not sure about that), the colour looked very specific. Just my mind wondering why that colour that impressed upon me. Thanks guys, I learned something new today.
