There are so many directions where this could work and they take all the ingredients in the absolute wrong direction. Salmon and relish might be able to work if you lean into the pickle flavor but they stacked lemon juice on top of that to make it excessively tart. Salt on top of the relish is redundant and makes it way too powerful. Pineapple and salmon could make a good tropical combo but with all of the other nonsense it just adds a sickening, sweet layer to something that was already excessively tart and salty. And then adding CHEESE to that? What the hell lmao

Theory - Much like cartographers that put fake locations on their maps to make sure that their work isn't plagiarized, I suspect that sandwich recipe books include evil recipes for similar reasons.

Normally dill goes well with fish (even just dill pickles in tartare sauce), but pineapple? I'm glad some foods from the 50s/60s have been left in the past... Pineapple is only acceptable to me on chilli chicken pizza or burgers with the lot (I find BBQ chicken pizza too sweet, I prefer a tomato base with cheese to act as glue instead of BBQ sauce, chicken, jalapeños, pineapple, and oregano/Italian herb blends/chilli flakes... The pineapple adds some isolated bursts of sweetness to balance the warmth and keep each bite interesting).

I like Miracle Whip but don't begrudge anybody who doesn't.

To this day my mom stands behind her hatred of mayonnaise, claming that it "tastes like a wet dog smells". So I didn't discover mayo until I moved out. Miracle Whip tastes like absolute crap to me now.
