How often does the drum detect an earthquake similar to this? That's what I've been waiting and watching on live caseismograph.
Hi Tyler, That's a good question. On average, we see in Southern California about 2 / 3 a year. But sometimes, there are as many as 10 or more in a year.
Maybe tell us day and time so when it shows up 2 months later on our KRplus feed we have some reference.
I'm always watching live seismograph to watch for earthquakes, but there aren't any big waves showing up yet
Nothing big is good, Tyler. Thank you for watching!
@@CaSeismograph have you always been changing the paper whenever it gets full
it room like yes 2nd stop Doomsday clock date time 2025 soon Bombs earth Boom out 😢 Sorry sad yes

Really cool! My brother was a builder. He s retired now. He would love seeing this! 😊 Looks great so far. Can't wait for the finished product. Carry on! 😊 ❤
We sure will! Thank you for your encouragement.
Fantastic!!!! Slick roof!!! You guys are BRAVE😮😮😮😮😮 Sending you good vibes for continued success ❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you
Don't you Americans have corrugated iron roofs?? :)
Hi Martin, Yes, we do, and they are great but very expensive.
Question. What happened to Day 5 of the studio building video? I see day 4 & 6 uploaded, but no day 5.
Hi Ren, You are correct. Day 5 is missing. The video got corrupted, and we need special software to recover it. However, it's pretty expensive. We do hope that in the near future, we will find a way to do so. Thank you so much for supporting our channel with your question.
Looking good!!
TY 😊
Thank you for posting! I just happened to be looking at the Seismograph when it happened but new to the site and wasn't sure what I was seeing until someone on the chat explained to me what E-Graph MO was. I'm in Okla. Thank you again!
We are glad to have you on board. Thank you for your comment.
Awesome video Thank you for sharing. I have talked to a few people that live on the East Coast, they said it felt very strange.
Connecticut felt it 110% Very close along the coast areas, from West Haven / New Haven area all the way to Stratford area where I am closest to. I'm sure other places felt it too but whoa! It lasted longer than I would think one would last too, as a 4.8 & how far from the epicenter it was. I know just basic things about Earthquakes but my son was under his desk already as I called him in the other room.😅 He is safety guy I tell you!
Oh wow! That is amazing!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for posting! I'm totally blown away!!!!
There was an aftershock that was felt just after 6pm on 4/5/2024.
i bet seisie would have picked it up too 😢 1:04
This truly has to shake one's confidence regarding living on bedrock... In Calif we know we live on weak and shifting sands and expect it Ironically, my GF said she wouldn't feel it no matter what Big surprise.
No, California lives on strong and shifting ROCKS.
felt in Oxford Ohio 1:06
❤
That's the last place I think about earthquakes. But it's not the first time in the Northeast
If this was out on the west coast, it wouldn’t have been felt as widely.
Correct
That's because the rocks and soil are different. Bedrock shakes the least on down to mud which shakes the most.
Price Utah
THANKS! SHARED THIS OUT.
Thank you so much!
@@CaSeismograph 👍👍👍
So the earthquake happened at approximately 11:32. And it took 7 minutes for the vibrations to hit there?
Yes, you are correct. If you refer to the last of the movements that were recorded by our e-Graph.
Wasn't it 9:23 EST?
@@TheFlashyWeasel oops 10:23 am eastern standard time
@@susankarma173 I was going to say don't confuse me I could have slept an hour later lol... They just had a 4.0 aftershock.
Cool 😎
