Agree 100% on the part about the bigger "chin" with a bigger battery and a built-in wrist rest. Missed opportunity IMHO.
Its a great bike until something doesnt work from one day to another.. like i had to switch out the comm-module (Which isnt easy) and still nothing works. Supports wants me to send pictures and videos of me trying but refuses to replace the bike or even give me my money back. Support in general is a joke that seems to have no clue about everything. Also the breaks are very bad.. have to bleed them twice per month. So please if you wanna buy a e-bike, DONT GET THIS ONE!
I'm sorry you had a bad experience mate. In the interests of balance - I had an issue with the comm module about a month ago too. Support were helpful and responsive, and first told me to give it 10 days for the internal battery to reset itself and a firmware update to be applied. I wasn't happy with this solution so they shipped me a replacement unit at no cost (my bike was out of warranty so this should have been a £250+ part). I didn't fancy doing the repair myself, so booked it in with a local repair shop....and in the time I had to wait, the 10 days ticked past. My bike booted up fine, the upgrade was applied, and it's been fine since.
🔥
I wish this was full size layout
Yup, it’d be sweet with a num pad.
I prefer low profile keyboards. I prefer the logitech mx keys over the apple magic keyboard. Looking to potentially pick up a lofree, but don't know if I should go with the linear white flow, or the new edge.
I hope the video conveys this but for me the decision is all about aesthetics. Both are gorgeous to type on.
I LOVE THE CLACK
Mate, on both keyboards it’s like ice cubes knocking together.
Excellent heads up on the kickstarter man
They funded it in 15 minutes- insane.
doesn't look thinner than the logitech G815/915 series though
Maybe…but the G815 is not gasket mounted which makes a massive difference when it comes to the feel/sound. TBH I haven’t taken Logitech boards seriously since trying the mx mechanical last year. Hands down the most horrible typing experience I’ve ever had.
UR MICS A BIC JARRING BUT GREAT VIDEO MATE
Thanks mate. I’m between mics at the moment. New audio setup coming next week!
How does this compare to the Keychron K3? That's my current keyboard that I love
Oh Mike now there’s a question. Are we talking the K3 v2 or one of the more recent releases like the K3 Max or Pro?
Do you have issues with Bluetooth?
@@Anzla I could never get any K3 model to behave when it came to Bluetooth. The K3V2 was nice but every K3 model since then has been a step backwards- IMHO. 😁
What's the need for a thin keyboard? Looks beautiful but what's the point
@@ThatMarkGilroy What kind of problem did you had with BT? Drops?
Thanks for the honest review. I returned mine due to the many issues using a Mac.
There’s a great bit in Hannah Gadsby’s “Douglas” about the different meanings of “fanny”, depending on which country’s version of English that you speak. Definitely worth a watch. Thanks for the content.
I love Hannah Gadsby! Will go check that out. 👍🏻
@@ThatMarkGilroy Just got tickets to see them at the London Palladium. Looking forward to that.
Nice!
I am with you...i am a productivity app junkie...I am always looking into the new shiney apps lol!!
thanks pal
You’ve shown me a few accessories I hadn’t seen before! This is the first video I’ve watched of yours but I had to subscribe given your wonderful sense of humor. Cheers from the US!
People who share my silly sense of humor are very welcome here! 😁
First time watching you and I really enjoyed your personality. Would love to see more videos on productivity….Thank you for the effort you put in to your craft.
Thanks buddy. More on the way!
I agree with you on some points. However, the Elgato prompter remains the top choice compared to others on the market, offering a balance of price and quality. I believe they have addressed many issues in the latest update of the Elgato Camera Hub 1.10.0.
They have indeed - I made an update over at krplus.net/bidio/eKhtX6igk2TbpIo
Screen protector. I’m done listening.
I'd like to make an alternate recommendation in regards to the case/keyboard. Instead of getting an all-in one option, I found the ESR Rebound Series case for under $20 on Amazon. I also found a great Bluetooth keyboard from Moko for under $30 which is foldable so it takes up less space than the Mini when not in use. Both fit into my cross body sling (no bum or fanny involved) and are much less bulky than a keyboard case, plus the fact they are separate actually makes it easier for me to pack them. What's more, the keyboard turns off when folded, maximizing battery life between charges.
Just been checking those out Kevin. The keyboard in particular looks awesome- thanks for sharing. I smell a keyboard case showdown for a future video!
Bum bags or fanny packs? Your call. 😜
the price difference is more taxes and tariffs than exchange rate
How is it holding up after a month?
Yep it’s been fine! Managed to solve my connection issues too. I always put on one side first (the port) and then pull it out over the other side of the ipad. I think this is less likely to put stress on the cable.
@@ThatMarkGilroy it’s very interesting that to this day the Backbone App Store page indicates that it supports iPad mini.
What they mean there is option 1 in this video (plugging in a cable between the two devices). They just need to make one that works like this already!
I really don't like that it doesn't work through a USB hub. So inconvenient that I have to use a computer port. My USB hub is high quality, too
Sometimes it works through mine and others it doesn’t. I’ve tried multiple hubs and cables and the results don’t seem to shift.
Does the paperfeel screen protector move around when writing? Since it’s not sticky.
Hi Bryana. Depends on how you’re taking notes. In the b-roll here I was holding it up to show the camera with one hand and writing on it with the other, and there it did slip around a bit. But in a ‘real’ writing scenario when your palm is on the screen, it doesn’t move.
Great vid. I liked the look of your key holder; which brand is it?
It’s from Orbitkey. They put out a limited edition all black release in saffiano leather a while ago. Still going strong after many years!
The side won’t pop out to charge my watch!!
It should be a ‘push in to pop out’ kind of mechanism - you don’t pull it. Is it stuck?
Thank you
You’re welcome!
They won't make the iPad fully like a MacBook simply due to being a money hungry material wasting company with brainless followers
Really good review and you’ve got a new subscriber in me 😊 - before I commit to buying this, can it work to scroll the text up and down using the Elgato Stream Deck Pedal? And I hear Elgato have recently come out with a software update, will you cover that? Cheers LBB
Thanks mate. And yes it’ll scroll with the pedal! As for the update - here are my thoughts: krplus.net/bidio/eKhtX6igk2TbpIo
Hi Mark! Thank you for the product review! I have a quick question: I am just getting into the world of content creation, and I am a total newbie in this field! I was wondering what equipment you would recommend to help me create good quality video content without breaking the bank? The phone I have is a Samsung 21e. Looking forward to your reply :)
Hi Terence. Thanks for your message! The most important thing to invest in IMO is audio. All the other stuff can wait. The current or previous generation DJI wireless mic is excellent and will connect to your phone to ensure you don't need to be really close to the device to be able to record the audio. Sit in front of a window if you can for natural light and you should be set to be 99% ahead of most people starting out!
Nice video. Thanks. ✌
You're welcome! Got a review of Lofree's latest (the Edge) coming next week.
BUT it doesn't support Apple shortcuts on MAC, this is a must have !
Doesn't it? I thought most of the shortcuts I use work on a Mac? I could be wrong!
@@ThatMarkGilroy Yea It looks like it, ive downloaded the app from their website and no shortcuts are available
I just got mine a few days ago and it paired instantly with my M1 Mac Mini. The power button seems a little strange (it doesn't seem to work 100% of the time) bit overall I'm liking the prompter so far. The scrolling is fine as is but it would be nice to have the voice auto-follow mode and some of the script formatting options you mentioned but that should be able to be added in an update... hopefully. For the price I don't think you can beat the Prompter.
Just use your phone + chat gpt for free 🤣
Mine just came today and using your video to help set it up.
Enjoy!
I dont undersrand why none of these companies dont make one with a long enough back for all tablets. We are entering the streaming era and tablets will rule not phones. In sure pletny of cusotmers will buy it.
Great video, exactly what I needed, thanks!
Thanks Dany. Just posted a review of the latest K3 iteration (K3 Max).
Thanks. I just watched both videos. A really great overview of Prompter. I bought one and it is brilliant in so many ways, but I also had huge problem getting it set up on a Mac. DisplayLink was the issue. Once I cracked that it has worked really well. I just wish there was a way to use the Camera Hub software without being plugged in to Prompter to format scripts offline.
Thanks James. Yes - the need to be 'tethered' again makes me think they designed this with streamers in mind and not youtube creators. If I need to be in a different place to where my laptop is using a teleprompter (outside, in a different studio, with a client etc), this suddenly becomes quite a complex set-up that is entirely dependent on your laptop battery life.
I have newest iPad Air and iPad mini 5 for 4 years. Really the iPad mini is a way better device for me. Both have identical use cases but mini is much more comfortable in holding and using. It become obvious when you are accepting that tablets can't fully replace laptops\computers. iPad Air\Pro from my point of view is only better for drawing. In other cases I prefer Mini. When I first bought tablets I was disappointed. And the iPad mini was the salvation for this product category. When I use iPad mini? In general for me it is almost like a smartphone, but for home or long travels. I use it for media consumption, for chatting with friends, for playing mobile games and browsing the web. Yeah it is too small for watching a movie with your partner. So is 11 inch iPad in my honest opinion. It is at the same time way comfortable than a smartphone while being almost the same weight. I am waiting for iPad mini 7, don't know what the upgrades there'll be, hoping that jelly screen will be fixed, that's it. I wish that there will be better screen or even pro mini model, but I highly doubt it. My iPad mini works fine all those years, I want to upgrade it only because it lacks an USB-C port
Yes, sensible to wait at this stage I think. All signs point to a fall/autumn release.
Excellent presentation. I'm very much an analog, bullet-journal fine stationery type of gal, but once in a while I dive deep into the world of prod. apps and it is overwhelming. I have Routine, Todist, Ticktick now, but my interest in them drops off and before I know it I've forgotten all about using them. I think it's far more important to actually be productive with one or two apps, then to constantly be searching for apps, setting them up with the realization that you've wasted loads of time on that. There's a guilt that sets in. You had me at free. The ability to switch off personal and work tasks. Absolutely brilliant. I've never seen that. I know some people love to be able to have everything, all worlds in one place, from work to business to ideas and aspirational to business to family, but not me. I want to have the division between work/business and personal. Thanks!
Glad you liked it Michelle- and totally agree it’s about using something you trust rather than ‘productive procrastination’. I didn’t mention this in the video but I’ve been combining this and the Ugmonk Analogue Weekly which sits at my desk. Superlist and the Ugmonk kit is a great setup.
I was worried if I used this it would ruin my lens? I currently use something like you said you used to (with an ipad). Super heavy and takes ages to set up but does the job. Edit: seems like this wouldn't be suitable, the software issue and not being able to control from the phone is a game changer. Do you think the padcaster would be suitable for holding an ipad air?
Hi Adam. Yes if you need to control this with your phone it’s a no-go at the moment. The software has improved (see my update video from a couple of weeks ago), but still not the best. Padcaster is too small for an iPad Air unfortunately…I’d go with something like a Desview.
There are a list of new devices including this and the AI pins where I have a hard time understanding why a smartphone app wouldn’t do the same job better.
The killer feature with this one is the phone recording in the same 'product' as the meeting recording. It works shockingly well. Meanwhile, I think the AI Pin is about to become the biggest flop in tech history - not a fan of 'I told you so' posts but I TOTALLY called it: krplus.net/bidio/ZrNxdqF-ipndZpQ
Why i try on my ipad mini and it doesn’t just no response. But on my iphone it does work, is they update the firmware?
Did you install the backbone software on your iPad mini and first connect with a cable only using option 2 in this video?
I must be honest, I did that but this monitor and I wasn’t impressed. I just found it was too big I loved what it could do but when gaming it was lagging a bit no matter the settings I used. In addition to this when I working It felt like I didn’t know where to look. Saying that I’m sure that it’s a great monitor for most but it wasn’t for me.
I've got the elgato FaceCam Mk2 and I have HUGE problems with the software (had the same problems for a while with the "mk1"). The camera hub and the facecam itself feels super fragile to me on the software side because it freezes so often and easy. There was a workaround for the mk1 with the usb transfermode but the mk2 doesn't have this function in the camera hub so... Yeah, elgato really needs better software.
