MOVE BACK (yes give it a bit more time BUT if you’re still feeling this way, go back) There’s nothing more important for a child than parental well-being and mental health. If that means being by your family, then that’s great for those individuals But from all I’ve seen from both you guys is being on the water and in the sun and moving physically (ex. surfing, sports, even just being able to walk to the beach to THEN surf) is your happy place. Being able to go outside year round & immediately see geckos with Jack, all of it, seems to be very very good and important for your health and well-being. Buying houses in the suburbs for some reason just lends itself to people being at home more than out and about and exploring. PLUS your Hawaii friends ARE family to you and your kids - built in cousins by choice for them their own age 🤗 let alone your own friends and your own social world, which is so critical. Longer high quality life is linked to having a strong social circle. I’m a developmental psychologist ❤ Hope any of this helped!
