I like to have my clutch wallet with me. Is that okay?
I’m trying to decide to give two weeks notice or not for my job rn. I’ve worked on a food truck for almost a year. They’re opening a location which I would be starting at soon when it opens but I’ve been out of work for two months and prior to that works been really inconsistent. I’m really broke so I’ve had to just start applying to more jobs and I’ve finally got an interview coming up but I know we’re also supposed to be opening again soon. I don’t really know which would be better. To just leave before they open and they’ll have to hire someone else before opening or work for that two weeks then start my new job. I want to just tell them I’ve got a new job and I couldn’t afford to be inconsistently employed with no way to make money and no savings. But idk.
Someone said not to mention personal details during an interview and here I am with anxiety and depression telling people about it. Or at least thinking of cause sometimes it gets bad and I need to work too.
This video long as hail
I think there are pros and cons It takes a lot of effort to coordinate an entire household every day. Not only does the individual have the organizational skills to manage an entire home, but also the patients to raise children, they probably also have compassion, a good work ethic, and is able to teach other people seeing as they have to teach a child or children every day on how to be a people. But, at the same time just because you are a SAHM doesn't mean you're a good one. Maybe ask a few questions to ensure their viewpoints match what the company is looking for and pay attention to the overall feel of the person.
Great, except you've failed to mention that your employer is basically telling the government what to do here in order to extract as much value from you as possible.
"Pregnant people"?...... You mean "women"?
Is this common? I’ve never been asked this
Agree
Yea you hear that Jenny? You did Forrest Gump DIRTY!
Can they see my KRplus comments? Because that where i am talking crap about them
Homemaker also works too!
The last question is kind of required for my field of work (auto tech) otherwise Excellent list.
Of course. Being a stay at home mom has valuable skills that a smart employer would find desirable including time management, crisis management, negotiation, coordination of schedules, heck even some project manager skills. ❤
There are only two genders. And you’re born with said gender.
Life is a scam
What if my name doesn't come up at all on any search engine?
'May be entitled' doesn't equal 'will be entitled'
I have a ten year work gap as a stay at home Mom, and it has been 14 yrs since I got my Master's degree in chemistry-- and the judge in divorce court thinks I can just get a job in science easily...not the case at all. I only got a job in science this year, that pays what I made in 2008, because the chair of the department knew my undergrad advisor AND I was willing to work part time, and maybe full time without benefits. I have applied to so many science jobs for three years and this is the only science job I was able to get. I have worked many other part time jobs.
"So there's this labor law you're violating..." and if they don't take the hint then scram, you don't want to work there anyway
Option 3: "I quit"
.....so living a comfortable life in popular cities often involves a base salary north of 100k
Damn right!
Unless you are the owner, and sometimes even then, we are ALL disposable to most companies!
I like how she said it all without badmouthing her last job
Are you okay erin
I don't know about the US, but once upon a time, people did get notice of dismissal, and if they wanted you gone, they'd give you your X weeks wages in loo of notice.
Right you are!
Can’t stay for six more months to get it?
I had a boss try to throw this line of reasoning when I was asking about raises! They do a percentage for the entire department and have to divy that percentage across the employees. Basically if I get a higher raise my male co-worker with 3 kids gets a lower percentage of a raise. She tried to make me feel bad for wanting to be paid what I was worth In my rol, even though I made the least out of everyone and was there the longest, and I was the only team member willing to do shit like work holidays or pick up shifts outside my availability when a co-worker with kids needed help. Do I realize now I was a sucker? Yea. 100%. Am I way more valued elsewhere 1000000% and the co-workers that I previously had actually kept in touch and encourage me to keep going!
money cant buy happiness, but it can buy a home, dinner, a life for your kids or loved ones, quality therapy and a comfortable living which are all inherently happy because it improves our quality of life!!
Getting a job sounds like trying not to get tricked by the Fae
At my company they make us pay our own end of year bonuses throughout the year by deducting it from our salaries. Yup. Thats apparently a thing.
TRUTH!
All while the owners and presidents get bonuses the same amount as your annual salary.
I was disciplined 1 day before I was vested and they seemed very surprised when I agreed to go forward with their plan rather than quit. Did they do it on purpose? I'll never know.
Bonuses are bonuses to companies. To the IRS, bonuses are part of your salary. If you get one, you'll be taxed at the prevailing rate.
I’m applying for a new job can you look at my resume ? I’m afraid to submit and this job can change my life
Gaslighting at its finest.
I mean, you're lucky if you even get one
OMG!!! TRUTH GIRL!!!!
I don't know a single person who feels like that. Not even close.
What about when the company just ghosts you?
Never believe anything that says your insurance will cover any medical bill because it only covers a tiny portion or none of it but I don’t have to deal with that because I have state insurance
I know thats right! 😊
I have a question, i doubt it will get answered but I wpuld appreciate the help! I got a call for an interview at a company we scheduled the phone interview and I made sure thatI was off on time and home in time to take the call, they never called so about 30 minutes after the scheduled time I called to figureout what was going on, they said the person had an emergency and didnt come in and they would call me "Tomorrow" theg didnt I waited an extra day before calling again and asking about the call theg said they would call kn the next 2 days they havent called, what do I do now? If there is no communication at all?
