We are being told by stockholders and by Hollywood that we need to force a new definition of beauty into the mainstream, but this only benefits them. Beauty has a biological imperative and origin. The athletic body represents an optimalization of function. The most colorful bird attracts the mate and continues evolution. The projecting box model house which which Revit has enabled lazy architecture in wealthy neighborhoods generates repudiation, while Mission Revival homes humbly exude grace and warmth.

The new mechanics of this understanding is the unification of quantum mechanics and consciousness ( intelligent field)

Perception includes the inner and outer layers of memory, energy or information that build the desire of experience the composed experience to define the construct of the new. Thus, our connect ness to the unseen and seen are the archetypes that arrange the new pieces of the composition. The New Human connected to the totality of the work seen and unseen.

I love this presentation. I am an architect, lighting designer, dowser ( works with scalar waves or intelligent field of the universe) all is energy ( natural enviroment, matter and no matter state). I do agree the forces of life are in perfect ratio so the connectedness of the elements in the play generates positives spaces, firms, arrangements that mimic nature which is the life fore in complete expression, This universal mathematics, ratios of light and sound are the infinite potentials of the symphonies available for the directors of orchestras like an architect. It is all about finding the harmonics that form/function/flow of energies generate life or expansion of the totality.

I very much like this lecture! I (re)discovered Graphic Statics via the book Form and Forces by Edward Allen. Parts of this book I use in my lectures at Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. I'd really like to get my hands on the sheets used in this lecture, because, yeah, the pace was high, but I saw some very interesting sheets I'd like to study some more. Nikolay Smirnov poses a tremendously important issue for students' consideration: How much importance needs to be placed in parametric, fabrication-based and AI-based design when there is an increasingly grave issue of lack of affordable housing that strikes everyone, and which students will have to face themselves eventually in all likelihood. We need to return to basics, learning efficiency, beauty and seriousness of proposals. Construction is a relentlessly conservatives industry, and we designers need to learn to do more with less. Hopefully we can quantify well-being to entice investors. We have the tools and institutions in place to build and design them correctly, avoiding the negative effects of communist architecture.
