Pretty interesting to watch the smoke being blown basically horizontally. What's interesting is the smoke that's coming out from underneath the pier. If the wind is that strong to be blowing the smoke the way it is .why is there smoke coming out from underneath the pier shouldn't it be blowing underneath the pier and being pushed East.and not coming out from the front and the sides like it could have started under the pier and went into the restaurant. Because at 2:42 in the video where is that smoke coming from if the wind is blowing that strong it should not reach the front of the pier. Unless there's active fire under that wood. Now the only other possibility is the fire was started in the middle of the restaurant and burned through and crawled underneath towards the front of the pier but if the wind is that strong it would burn the flames the opposite direction away from the West siding face of the pier

The restaurant has been closed since Covid. Maybe old shorted cables, people smoking, insurance fraud, etc 🤷🏻‍♀️ it could be a plethora of things. I walked the pier this morning. Doesn’t seem they were prepared for such a situation. We had a fire in Carlsbad cove and the fire was put out quickly with little damage.
