I really love this video. I hope you keep doing more. I just find you today. I think the Luce in the street weren’t on was because is wasn’t dark enough and they probably set up the time. The video with the sunset is very natural is great. I have a question for you. Are you from Venezia. ? I m learning Italian and I would like to recognize accent according to the region also. I find this very strange. So many spectators and so few people in costume and masks. Where do these masked people come from? This seems to be a much-overrated spectacle.
Understood. However, it seems physically spread out far enough that there are, in fact, lots of genuine costumed actors, musicians, mimes, "The Pope" all covering different centuries ...along with of course, as you point out, an odd blend of the sublime and semi costumed getting selfies etc. That could probably be handled with more distinctive separation between actors and audience. But that might not be post modern Venetian or you know, their Chamber of Commerce.
