The ABS break broke twice both rotors, and they still did not replace it. Mr. Shojaie, the boss, promised a new display since 2022, and he never delivered it, and his comments on their website were never updated. DO NOT BUY THIS BIKE. To clarify a few things about my comments: 1) I like this channel and comment to increase engagement to help it grow on YT's "Algorithm" 2) The videos are well produced and presented and are a compact summary of the week's BEV "events". 3) "events" is in quotes because most of these are just press releases, often aspirational, overly optimistic, and often very misleading. 4) I comment sometimes when something is obviously a grossly misstated load of bloviation. While understanding the need for positive promotion, there needs to be some circumspection in repeating them. Conflating facts and performance of future, non-existent products with present tense verbiage is misleading in giving the impressions that the fanciful proclamations of PR departments are real and to be believed. If Miss GoElectric or Producer Tim ask, I will stop commenting.

      Shazam, Today, your critiques were based on your own misquote and your lack of information regarding our first hand familiarity with the Ultium platform. You might be surprised to learn that we literally see Ultium based trucks every time we leave our home. We live near Detroit. Hummer EV (production), Silverado EV (production), and even Sierra EV (preproduction) are being driven by employees and/or regular consumers constantly near our home. These are not concepts or prototypes. We see them and we have sat in them. We know the specifications. That familiarity enables us to have and substantiate opinions about them. We tell the truth on this channel. Miss GoElectric dedicated her college education to journalism and earned her degree in broadcast journalism from Oakland University. We do not take kindly to suggestions that we engage in sensationalism or lack an understanding of automotive production realities. As the editor and producer, I expend a great deal of mental energy for my part in considering the words we use in our scripts. Misunderstandings are inevitable, but inaccuracies are extremely rare in our work. If it happens, we will own and issue a correction. -Producer Tim

      @@MissGoElectric So @ 7:40 ~ "the GMC... is going to have deliveries this summer". Future tense: "going". The Ultium stuff (batteries, battery pack, charging and power electronics, etc. etc.) in the Hummer has very little in common with the one in the Silverado, just the brand name. All car companies put out "specifications", which are often quietly changed after user testing and reviews show the errors. While the Sierra and the Silverado share the same Ultium "platform", the specifications are different. I simply pointed out that having the Sierra as a "favorite" (of the Ultium Platform / Brand / etc.) is disingenuous since the vehicle is not in production or has been delivered to customers, which is stated in the video and acknowledged by you (~"pre-production, driven by employees"). Innuendo, inferences, conflation, cleverly ambiguous phrasing and such should not be in this type of program. I was not the only one who commented on the "favorite" comment, so perhaps others either misconstrued or wantonly twisted its reading as well. The clear and accurate statement could have been: "based on the Sierra's similarity to the Silverado, it could be one of our favorite GM Ultium platform vehicles in the future."

    My thoughts are: slave labor will always be less expensive...

    • @MissGoElectric
      @MissGoElectric 5 일 전

      Slavery is not legal in the US, where dozens of automakers and suppliers currently employee hundreds of thousands of non-union American workers. Recent landmark union contracts prohibit any reduction of workforce *in addition* to unprecedented wage increases and other benefits. When technology or methodological improvements make toil and labor unnecessary, automakers with union workforces are prohibited from scaling back the labor force or optimizing in various ways. Non-union companies which can take advantage of working smarter, not harder, can produce better products at lower costs. They can do so even while paying competitively. There are other concerns. What happens to the billions of dollars skimmed by unions from the laborers in fees and dues? Why have so many union leaders been jailed for theft, embezzlement, and nefarious political interference? A well meaning concept can result in concentrated power, which corrupts. Parasitic losses can be the difference between a company which survives, and one which dies. Thank you for your perspective. -Producer Tim

    Rivian is going to need to sell lots more vehicles in order to become profitable, possible but not a given. Eventually, the most profitable EV manufacturers will be making less expensive models. The problem is not as easy as it sounds, although GM takes it seriously. Part of Tesla's problem is Elon's political views, especially since he took over X, as competition continues to increase. I would like your prediction as to when, or whether Chinese manufacturers like BYD or NIO will be able to sell cars in the states.

Slippery slope, with all the nonsense about non existing products. Was your favorite BEV in the past also Faraday Future or one of the grifting fantasies of Bricklin or Fisker? Statements about the value and performance of non- production cars as if they existed leads to bad Karma. @@MissGoElectric The clarification could have just as easily said "...GM EV pickup truck", since GM owns the Ultium trademark (and whatever they want it to mean ay any given time). Since you list links to reviews of Ultium vehicles of the past, they are not at all the same as what is being now promoted. This would also justify selecting favorites from all other vehicle brands, i.e. "...favorite Arcimoto..." or "...favorite Faraday Future..."

    • @MissGoElectric

      She said "Ultium Trucks" There are only 3: Hummer EV, Silverado EV, and the upcoming Sierra EV. We have seen all three of these in real life. We live near Detroit and we cannot leave our home without seeing them on the road. We have spent time in the Hummer and the Silverado. Both are now in production and have been delivered to customers. We have been seeing them around regularly since 2022. We have published that content on our channels. The segment was about GM and Ultium advancements. That is the reason Miss GoElectric expressed her personal preference within that scope. If it were a Hyundai Group segment, she might have called out the EV9 as her favorite eGMP EV. If it were a Volkswagen segment she might have named the European Ford Explorer EV or ID.BUZZ as her favorite EVs on their MEB platform. -Producer Tim

    Very good MGE, glad to find your channel! It seems that instead of being the Cadillac of all models, Caddy is aiming to put its cars into the hands of more people. I traded my Model S for a Lyriq because the handling, GM Supercruise, and overall operation is more precise. Well, the reason actually was that my wife wouldn't drive the Tesla and loves the Lyriq. I had to go all the way up to a Luxury 3 in order to get what I wanted but there was a $7500 rebate with an additional $500 veteran's offered on GM models. Then the dealership sent an electrician over to install level 2 charging in my garage at their expense. So I like the way GM is going about electrification and I've heard that their electric pickups beat the others and I suspect that this is why they are your favs. Tesla may have invented a new market but the big boys have caught up!

    Here is the reality: without widespread union adoption across multiple industries thus raising the standard of living for millions of average workers (retail, service, retail banking, administrative, and many many other once sustainable wage-paying jobs), those average workers cannot afford to purchase union-made products. Instead, they will buy cheaper imports. As wages have stagnated and the minimum wage has not kept up with inflation, many workers are being priced out of the automotive market entirely. As prices rise, volume will decrease and the industry will continue to shrink. Loss of volume of production then increase production costs and thusly raise consumers prices. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The auto industry is in trouble. I 100% support unionization across multiple industries. But it is going to be a hard transition to get there. We have raced ourselves to the bottom and we have to stop sinking and start building our way to a sustainable, balanced economy. That is not a continuous “growth” economy. A sustainable economy. The only way to do that is widespread collective action. Clearly our politicians cannot be trusted to mandate decent wages. As for “growth economics?” Nothing healthy grows forever. On a lighter note………That Grancabrio Folgore looks sweeeet. 😍That is the first luxury EV that has really appealed to me. I’d even tolerate the much larger than desirable size. Come on Lotto numbers, bring home the win. 💰💰💰💰Momma needs a new ride. 🚘😂😂

      Tesla has made more millionaire employees than GM , Stellantis, and Ford with a fraction of the workforce. Do UAW workers get company stock? How many billions of dollars have been skimmed from union workers by unions? What percentage of union bosses have been jailed for misappropriating funds or using influence in illegal ways? It is not just about wages. In this segment, MGE makes the point that Union contracts prohibit layoffs. As an EV advocate, I am sorry to hear that you feel that way. However, your viewpoint is 100% legit. We have an affordability problem. There are many average people whom I believe would be open to EV ownership with even a just little information and experience with an EV, but they are priced entirely out of the market. I see this affordability problem industry-wide, but it is most pronounced with EVs certainly. I am very fortunate in that we can afford one EV, there’s no way to afford another until the first is paid off. BUT, the second wave is coming. We had the first wave during the pandemic. We are in a lull right now. I think a second wave of EV adoption is coming and a lot of early adopters are going to trade up for newest tech because there are always some people who have to have the latest phone/tech, etc. That will flood the market with used but in good condition EVs. Also, since the pandemic, the depreciation on these first generation EV has been high, especially for luxury models. Those who cannot afford new are going to have excellent used options as most first adopters are kind of geeky in their car care. Once the next wave tech hits in 2025/26, all those who bought in 21/22 are going to trade up. So hold tight. Decide what you want now and watch for it to hit the used market in 18-30 months. You will have choices.

      The UAW and many foreign unions have made well documented attempts to unionize Tesla workers. Most recently, incredible pressure in Sweden failed. American workers at Tesla are paid very well and receive company stock. Tesla has made more millionaire employees than any of the UAW automakers, even though their US workforce is a fraction of the size. Tesla workers consistently reject union overtures. The brand is building automobiles with fewer labor hours than American competitors and they will continue to innovate in ways which reduce suffering and toil. The fruits of those changes will enable more growth as a company, and more hiring in other areas where human beings are more useful. Examples include store and service staff, design, engineering, and education. -Producer Tim

    Great video. I will have to call this weekly News Episode, The Sunday Morning Blessings, as you releasing the video on Sundays now, instead of the official last day of the week, according the Calendar, Saturday. I love it though. Also, i have no problem with UAW preserving workers' jobs, as they could be reskilled for the EV future and don't necessarily agree with a large labour force results in higher losses for major companies. Major companies normally make bad projections investments too often and want to use labour as an excuse to get out of those. They could believe & promote what the want about robotics, robotics cannot improvise on spot, ever. That is natural human trait that could never be built into a device, far less a robot. Robots cannot exist without human intelligence, period. On this point when you mentioned China, yes, they have a mixture of robotics too, but still have human labour, but most of all, why the Chinese EV manufacturers are successful? Mainly because the top companies are mainly vertically integrated, which is major reason too that they are successful. Happy for Honda, going full speed ahead with EV program, contrary to the so called "EV slowdown" talk. Again, as always Madame, Great Work you and to your team. Thank you kindly and Much Respect.

      This episode premiered on Saturday, April 20th at 6:30PM PST with about 55 live viewers. That said, we upload whenever the edit is finished. Sometimes earlier, sometimes later depending on travel schedules. Automotive manufacturing methods have changed wildly in the last three years. The massive press technology used in new EVs by Tesla and many Chinese competitors has eliminated hundreds of sub-assebmly components. It has eliminated hundreds of welds and labor hours. Combined power and data lines, unified computational centers, and soon the unboxed method will reduce complexity and further reduce dependence on human labor. When a vehicle can be assembled under the supervision of a dozen people rather than the toil of hundreds of people, costs are lower. Prices are lower. Value is higher. Demand is higher. Market share always flows from incumbents to the producers which provides the most value. Thank you for commenting and sharing your opinions. -Producer Tim

      @@MissGoElectric I get that process you know and it is true, yes, they will get more value, so they say. I am still for workers though, because when these Executives think that they are in the clear when you have thousands on the breadline,they got another thing coming. Those same furloughed workers would come looking for them and those Executives would have to be watching their backs all the time, where situations like that,people are wondering how they are going to feed their families, would want to go after them. Uncomfortable situation as an Executive long term.

      You get to the central issue. Should humans ever toil unnecessarily? What happened to typesetters, elevator operators, NASA's human calculators, ditch diggers, and warplane gunners? Roles automate away. Robots can do the physical stuff. Increasingly, AI can do the thinking stuff. The structure of our economy will fundamentally change. It will become based on something other than "job count" or "hours on site". The fruits of production must be allocated in a manner which befits a healthy society. That doesn't mean people have to stand next to machines and push buttons as makework in service of an obsolete metric. This change is coming. If we can all enjoyed an age of abundance with a lower cost of human suffering, wouldn't that represent advancement of civilization? -Producer Tim

    • @MissGoElectric
      @MissGoElectric 6 일 전

      My opinion is that labor is costly but important to have workers rights enforced and represented. The reality is some automakers are tied to unions and others are not and the cost is higher for those who have union contracts. Interestingly, that does NOT mean union workers actually receive higher compensation. Tesla has minted more millionaires than ever unionized American Automaker by giving them stock in the company. Tesla workers consistently reject unionization. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts. -Producer Tim

    Best course of action for Tritium? Go to Tesla and on bended knees, beg to build Superchargers under license. . "We have the factory snd qualified workforce... etc" . A product that's 20%(?) the price of their unit, even with a "consideration" to Tesla, MAY dig them out of the hole? . Here is a good article: www.axios.com/2023/09/13/tesla-uaw-gm-ford-stellantis-contract-talks Automakers do not consistently disclose the labor hours per vehicle, but we know Tesla now uses the world's largest casting machines removing hundreds of parts and welds. They now employ simplified wiring and unified compute. Those innovations result in massive reductions in required labor per vehicle. Automakers with contracts prohibiting layoffs would be unable to realize savings by innovating in the same way. This is a major competitive disadvantage. The same is true of franchise dealership entanglements. The big three must wrestle significant parasitic load compared to non union or direct-to-consumer automakers

      Since the beginning of the channel, I've been thinking about ways to get the ev information out there to as many people possible. But, there are layers of information. Retired senior managers of auto manufacturing, we want the business side information. For example, I don't like CATL and BYD impacting the business in America in any way, but I do want to know what they're doing. I want to be kept up to date on Volvo/Polestar, UAW activities, sop dates for battery builders here in America. This is valuable information we're talking about. And, I do know that gathering all the necessary information for all the things that you want to present and confirming for truthfulness is very time-consuming. There's a lot to think about. I'm even thinking about a round-table video show with guests, call-in experts, and just time with host answering questions on the fly. Just let her get loose and go with it. You guys know enough people you can tap on the shoulder for that. I'm excited about the future for you guys.

Tesla currently builds the best selling car in the world and they have higher margins than most automakers. Unions have tried many times. Tesla employees are also company stockholders. I think the price is a bit too high, but I hope they are successful so we can maybe get a cheaper version in the future. The issues I see is mainly that EVs towing this isn't going to be much better with just a 45KW assist. So the range is still going to be an issue and limit destination with EVs towing it. I feel like you need a Cybertruck with a Range Extender + a Pebble with and even bigger battery option. ~ 100kwh. And maybe that would give you some serious range to get it over to some remote destinations. But we're talking like $300k at that point 🤣... Just to do a complete EV desolate camper adventure? I think a standard towing vehicle with extra gas is going more places with this. I know some lucky folks out there will do it... And I'd happily join their luxury EV adventures 😉. But I think for the rest of people, a standard towing vehicle and the newer campers on the market with any arbitrary solar are going to enable the same destination stays. And that's just it... The destination is the key selling point of getting into rv camping. Unfortunately this the Yacht club is your target audience for this.

      These are about half the price of a comparably sized Airstream which does not offer insta-camp, magic hitch, ez tow, or the enormous battery capacity. They aren't cheap, but they are not at the top of the price range for new RVs either. We have a Rivian R1T Max Pack and a Cybertruck AWD. We reserved a range extender.
