    Flaw number one: You're gonna hit it with a saw at some point and it's made from metal. Otherwise it's a good space saver.

    If you put the square on the board edge, won’t the string hang across the angle as well?

      It's always going to be under the deck. Also carriage bolts also stick out 👍

    I don't believe that would be code compliant nor as sturdy as a 1/2" carrage bolt.

    I think he's building a deck so all your building regs don't matter its just to hold the decking. But didn't he put that bolt on backwards 🤔

    The naysayers are quick to dismiss this device. I will buy it, and then reinforce a dedicated portion of my gutters to accommodate them. Stop whining and make it work.

    Throughout double bolts and at least one 4×4 notch in to hold the load bearing in this case but 6×6 will be the right post so you can notch in both beams

    The single best way to wind up extension cords. Damn, you’re getting ripped in the comments here. People look at that and say it’s a waste of time or it’s a stupid way to wrap them up or it looks tangled when you finish winding it up like this, etc. I’ve been using this method for about 10 years, and mine have never gotten tangled. It’s also just as fast, if not faster than winding it into a coil. Thank you for showing this method.

    In an area that experiences seasonal change i become hesitant to do this. I'd rather do a diagonal pattern to offset any butting issues

    He is measuring a compound angle and not the angle of the rair with respect to the building. His measurement assumes that everything is intrinsically level

    I'm confused... i would understand a roller leaving an "imprint" as it turns, but how tf does THIS achieve different patterns each time??

    • @0815543
      @0815543 2 일 전

      The real wood already has the pattern. Then the paint is added on top and what this device does is remove the top layer of paint, leaving the recessed paint showing the wood natural contour.

    • @theoriginalmonstermaker
      @theoriginalmonstermaker 2 일 전

      That's what I thought at first, but it's just Plywood which doesn't have visible grain (if it does, it's a veneer which wouldn't have actually raised ridges ). I looked up "wood grain tool" and the non- roller had a similar wood grain pattern etched in material that look like silicone... I guess you must just rock it back and forth to vary the pattern? Idk. It doesn't seem like that would work, but that's what it appears they're doing. 🤔
