This is a very stupid suggestion, about scrapping Manning Cup. Manning Cup is not the problem. High School is not in the business of developing players for International duties. High School are learning institutions. Manning Cup and Dacosta cup are only extra curricula activities. What we need is at least as semi professional youth leagues / academies. it is grossly unfair to be blaming High School because they are not football clubs.

MG I spoke to a 16 year old footballer yesterday, he told me that a links a run football at JFF concerning the youngsters. Some very good youngsters are going by the wayside because they have no "links".

JFF is responsible for the development of football in Jamaica and not the schools. JFF get FIFA money every year to do that.

To think about this locally, if you got quality youngster to play with their age group. And they perform poorly. This is all pointing to the coaching and tactical handling etc. Simple as that.
