Hello David. Thanks for all your SE reviews and tutorials. Do you know if it has a feature where it just detects speech (without transcribing it)? I work with subtitlers for a soap in an uncommon language - the bulk of the work is highlighting the speech. It would be great if there was an automatic speech recognition solution that did that part for you.

Hmm. Re-encoding the media is a deal-breaker for me. You can use FFMPEG to mux in more text tracks to an existing video without re-encoding. You can ask Microsoft Copilot for instructions if necessary. I would prefer a graphical user interface but when you have Chat GPT-4 or above to help you write the script for FFMPEG, it's really not terribly difficult.

Hey i have veen wondering about somthing can you please help. So basically i have a lg tv at home and it has a usb port to play movies or watch images but the proble m is i belive it only supports mp4 format and i cannot play mkv and without it i couldent out subtitles too but as you had made a vedio about burning sub direct into videos it helped me alot but the problem is it takes some time i mean ths burning stuff and i just want to know is there any chance i can llay mkv file in it . This is an absolute beginners error! As stormwarrior said: Just renaming a file dosen't change it's type. Ever thought about, why the software you are using here is called "MKVtoolNix" and not "MP4ToolNix"? Eh, any idea? You produced here a Matroshka file. A MKV is a container file ideally used for soft subs. To embed a subtitle into a mp4 you have to hard sub it using a Software like Handbrake. So please, before posting "tutorials", verify carefully, what you are doing there.

Hi David or Mr. Mbugua, whatever you prefer. I do have a problem with the fond size displayed in the finished file. No matter how much I reduce or increase the fond size, it always will be displayed in the same size in the VLC player. One example, this line " <font face="algerian" color="#ffe430" font size=8px> " will be displayed at same size as " <font face="algerian" color="#ffe430" font size=55px> . The program preview has the correct changes however, when saved and played with the VLC player the displayed sizes are the same old same old size. What am I doing wrong?

@3:33 whats the point in that? you get higher volume on the music, but theres only black screen. the background music should interfere with the sound in the clips, not go up in volume where theres no clips at all...
