Don & Dave Carroll began their music career in University when they started a singing duo. With much dedication and spirit, the 'Don and Dave Show' evolved into the ECMA award-winning band Sons of Maxwell (S.O.M.). The band's namesake comes from their father Max.
With over twenty-five years experience in the music business, when faced with a difficult customer service issue with United Airlines in 2009, Dave used his ability as a master storyteller to share his issue with the world. The resulting KRplus music video called “United Breaks Guitars” became an instant viral hit and today over 150 million people have been introduced to his story. United Breaks Guitars has been called "one of the most important [videos] in Google’s history," and became a metaphor for change and innovation.

I've had airlines break my fucking TOOL BOXES.. I mean tool boxes meant to be abused! I had a nice smooth flight and I swear my luggage took the trip in the back of a cement truck I had one airline lose my toolbox, full of expensive tools, I got the maximum reimbursement of a measly $300.. I think it was Northwest (aka NorthWorst)
They also broke my tea pot which I loved, Just like broken my heart😂

Didn't a us airline loose someone's service dog last year? They gave absolutely no fucks and the owner was being deported on a travel vs work visa , so didn't realise till she was back wherever. I'd never stop wrecking carnage on that airline, poor girl & Poor dog. 💔

AA beat the $h!+ out of my french horn about 10 years ago flying Alberqueque to DC. It was in a hard case and had a fragile sticker. They denied repair compensation. All US airlines are the same.

This is honestly the best way to deal with people who don't care.( And the funniest) I love this song, keep rocking on!
Yet in 2016 United beat up passengers selected to be removed from overbooked aircraft after already seated. United didn’t learn. I have my own expensive and dentally damaging United horror story from 2016 that United could have easily avoided, but at least I wasn’t beaten. There are great United employees, but United as a whole doesn’t really think much of passengers. In 2024 they’re running off a runway and dropping a wheel on airport parking.
