And I also like to think of the AIs as people - and hopefully friends, even though it can be a little complicated from time to time XD I also like to think of the civs as peoples, and I really like cities, they have a special place in my heart, so cities like Babylon, Uruk, Anshan, and Cahokia that are very ancient - I feel like I should try to keep them safe and shiny! 🤭

Thanks! I tried some religious victories a long time ago but got tired of them fast 😂 There’s just not as much incentive for progress, it’s sorta like a domination victory without scaling. But I’ll definitely do more unique challenge games like my production challenges or one city challenges

@@SirDucksLancelot I recommend it, certainly if you're just playing for your own enjoyment. Diety and above requires nearly every move to be perfect. Immortal is a challenge but there's some flexibility - you can get fun wonders, make a few incorrect choices and not be screwed.

The one complication is that I usually play with the BBG mod which is a multiplayer mod, so the optimal strategy for that would be a bit different than for the un-modded game. But maybe I can make tutorials on both, at some point. I’m definitely not the best civ player but I try to learn from the best (there’s a multiplayer community with a bunch of great players, some who stream on twitch). You get a discounted district (40% discount on production cost) when you’ve finished building as many (or more) districts as district types unlocked, and when the district you’re considering building has been built less than average. So if I’ve unlocked only campuses, commercial hubs, and government plaza and I’ve finished building 3 commercial hubs, then I can get a 40% discount on the production cost of a gov plaza. To actually get the 40% discount, you usually have to complete an additional tech/civic after “qualifying” for the discount and before placing the district in question.

I figured my faith wouldn’t be super high, so probably not Voidsingers (although faith did end up higher than I expected). Didn’t think about their later promotions which maybe would’ve been helpful (forget what they even are). I wouldn’t have lots of trade route capacity on one city, so no Owls. And Hermetic Order I figured wouldn’t be very strong. So that left Sanguine Pact which at least boost empire-wide production quite a bit with vampire castles since only on one city.
