The female owl made a long visit to the box and outside perch that we caught on the outside cam for a great daytime view.

Helo tuyệt vời quá ❤❤❤
So beautiful
I guess I didn't realize she only visited at this stage. But it makes sense -- there's not a lot of room in there now!
We had a pair who had 3 babies on our block last year. I have so many videos, it was truly magical 🦉 the babies became so friendly with me 😍🥳🥰
Upstate
Awesome ❤
Amazing display 😮
Amazing🎉❤😊
I appreciate the up close and personal view. They are a special couple.
They are so ugly they are so cute.
I wish it was longer so we could see that the third one got to eat. 😢
So precious!! Life is beautiful!!
"Here you are, Lovely ... breakfast!❤" She left without it!
That was Arthur leaving. Big Red brought the meal in for herself. You guys should really read the descriptions below the videos.
🏆🏆
🥳🐣N1?
Wow so hard to tell when these eggs are pipping
🦜~ about 10 yrs for me, wow where does time go
Cute little chicks. Go get those rodents!
I love all of them🎉❤ such cute owlets
I remember the first time I saw a great horned owl 🦉 it was about 3 ft tall they tried to eat one of my cats
@cornellbirdcams , can anyone at the Lady Bird Johnson wildflower center confirm if they have seen Athena?
sad she hasn't been seen since than that i know of . has anyone else seen her by chance ???
This infrared camera is now confusing the ones ability to see food in the dark.... How is this not animal abuse?
If you read the page for the Barred Owls on Cornell they explain that it does not affect the owls, or they would not do it in the first place.
Athena and Austin have two wonderful fluffy balls!
Ham for the cam!!! 😂 🎦🦉🫶 love them!!! Fascinating to watch!
I haven’t wanted to post this, but I’ve been beside myself with worry all day. I haven’t taken my eyes off of these babies since last night…Athena left at 3:30 am (PSD) right after this video was taken & hasn’t returned…she has NEVER done that. She’s been gone for 15.5 hours straight now…can anyone out there chime in? She always checks in at least every few hours and she’s never been gone during the day…so worried…Xx :(
Also very concerned. I live in Austin and the last time I saw Athena was at 5:30 am this morning. I have been checking throughout the day and she still has not returned and it’s almost 10:30 pm here.
Thank you, Estelle. I know…now it’s been 17 hours. The babies have only eaten that one small mouse between them…she was having a hard time hunting last night…I watched her return twice, briefly, just to check in on them, then leave. That’s the thing…she ALWAYS checks in on them. Waiting for staff intervention at this point…they can’t go much longer without eating. I feel crushed & so sad…I just hope I’m wrong… :(
Is this true that Athena has left her two wonderful fluffy owlets babies for a long period of time? Not very good if it is true.
@@EstelleMurchison-cq7jn I have checked in to see Athena and her wonderful owlets. I have read Athena has been away from her owlets for a long period of time, I do hope she was not scared off by a human or human related noise.
Athena popped in at 11:20 pm, dropped off a mouse, and left.
They grow up so quick. When they were born they were all beaks and feet, now they growing into them. It hasn't even been 60 days.
Thank you for the cams and great info.
shame they are not social with each other. at least they are close together though. ❤❤
That sure is a tight squeeze of a nest
They sure grow fast
Yahoo ❤❤❤❤❤
I love baby owls’ little wiggle dance 😊
You can practically see them growing in real time!
💜
Watching them practicing flapping and pouncing on the live feed is the cutest thing ever. They look like silly little muppets with their adult feathers coming in. Is it normal for the mom to be away most of the time now? She was spending the day time with them but seems to have been gone for most of today.
There is a nest in my neighbors tree. The owlets at frequently spying down on us and our dogs. Fun watching the parents come check on them.
I was concerned when I didn't see the little outlet on the right receive any food. However I'm sure Mama took good care of him😊
I sure hope so!! <3
Year number two for me,too! Can't believe the number of years this bird has been successfully breeding! ❤
I first started watching a number of years ago, and then life stuff got in the way. Although I love all raptors, it was the red tails that got me started (The Franklin Institute Hawk Cam). They no longer nest there, but I'm told that there is a Franklin Hawkaholics on Facebook. Big red is a beauty. I knew of her former mate, Erza (after Erza Cornell). SHARON
Ezra was a wonderful partner and dad. Wink has grown into one, too.
Did one die, though there was 3 of them
You might be thinking of the barred owls, there are three of them still. I think there has only ever been just the two great horned owls.
This is so cute and funny! Animals never stop entertaining....
Well fed and healthy looking. 🦉🤎
Their feets are so big for their bodies 😍
Wow - I was getting worried, but knew it would be soon. I've been watching Big Red for 9 or 10 years!
Do you know the date of when the eggs were laid. This is the only nest I watch that doesn’t give you information on when the eggs were laid or when pip dates are
yay yay yay!! 🙂
I wonder, who controls the camera? Anyone know??
Wow! Thanks! ❤🐣
Little bit was doing pretty good on his own! This view is so cool seeing Moma’s long legs and the babies underneath her. Those talons 😲!!
Those talons can exert a force that's about 70% that of lion's bite, despite being attached to a bird that only has about 2% of a lion's body mass.
@@prosiescoteau2152 C R A Z Y!
I call the little owlets April and Augie, since the parents owls names are Athena and Austin.
Has this pair ever raised four chicks? I know they'll do a great job!
Four last year for the first time; three every year previously. BR is a professional at 21 years old.
