Dear Shelly truly sorry for the loss of your sister, my apologies for knowing what you’re going through so late, I lost my only son at the age of 38 in 2015 suddenly heart failure due to cardio sarcoidosis it was the most devastating moment a mother can have, we were on vacation with him at the time of event, my life completely changed but so it is life, the grieving process takes time and not the same for everyone I pray for you to have peace and find comfort in life ahead in the precious work you do, sending hugs and much love to you and your family. ❤🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Shelley I am so sorry to hear this. My prayers to you and your family. We just lost our cousin in September of Colon Cancer. He passed in my brother's arms, in my home. We were his Hospice, so I know exactly what you are feeling.

Shelly, I'm so sorry for your lose. Pancreatic cancer is a beast! I lost my sister on October 29th this year, 3 weeks after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We didn't even have a chance to digest the diagnosis. It is so hearbreaking. It is so hard to lose your sister. I miss mine every day.

I'm so very sorry for you and your family's loss. 😢 And it's so unfortunate that the cancers that occur in the pancreas and duodenum area show very little symptoms until they are already stage 4. Treatment is indeed brutal, surgery very difficult (because of the location of those organs), and sadly, rarely successful. Unfortunately I know this from personal experience with friends and relatives. Just remember everyone's grieving process is different, as is the time needed to process the loss. Give yourself the time you need.

I’m so, so sorry about your sister and you and your other loved ones. I’ve been watching TinyKittens HQ since Granpaw Mason. My mother died of pancreatic cancer in 1980. She was 67. I had breast cancer, but I’ve been fine so far. I hate it that young people like your sister suffered from it. Sending you condolences from Brooklyn.

I am so sorry for your loss, Shelly. Cancer is such a horrible disease and having survived for 24 years now, I am blessed but I know many who have not survived. I am also an RN so have lived with disastrous illness and major consequences of illness. You need to do whatever it is that gives you support and a measure of peace. Your nephews and BIL will need support and you should feel able to step away and give them that care and yourself the blessing of time away. My daughter was 5 when I was diagnosed and I lived through the stress of 3 surgeries and chemotherapy and the fear that I would lose my battle and leave a 5 year old with no mother. That fear didn't go away until she was into her twenties and I felt that while it would be terrible to lose me, she would survive. At 5, I wasn't sure. She is going to be 30 on August 1st and I thank God and her that I survived. They were both there for me. Feel free to do what you need to do. You have an amazing support system at TQ and while it is easy to think that they cannot survive without your love and input, they always do. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.
