Maths videos to help you improve your GCSE and A-level results.
Over time I have found that I like to try to answer the "why" questions, not just the "how" questions. Why do we do it this way and not that way? If you are looking for how to learn certain skills in mathematics, you will find that here. If you are also looking for the "why" of things, you will find a decent amount to interest you.

AS Level Maths | Exponential Functions (bonus story time)
In this video learn about what is an exponential function, examples of exponential functions, what is exponential growth, and graph transformations.
Small note on terminology - at the beginning of the video i was using the word “unknown” when it is probably more correct to say “variable”

I know this is really late, but to answer this question could you find another route to ON and then compare coefficients and work things out from that rather than using the MNC line?
Extremely helpful video, so clearly explained. Thank you so much ✌️
Thank you! Still helping people to this day.
I don’t get it
Could anyone explain that why we have to let f(x)=at 6:05???if we have to interchange the role of x and y anyway further???
cant we just cross multiple
Thank you so much I’m in year 9 right now but I wanted to find out what was so hard about calculus and your video finally helped me understand!!
13:40 so much pain
you got the last one wrong... its 6P(Pex4 - 2)
I solved the first one using the cosine rule to find the angle, that I’ll call A, between the side length 3 and r + 2, then used (r + 2)cos(A) and (r + 2)sin(A) to find the P(x, y) in terms of r. Then you have two equations in terms of r, where you can eliminate r to find y^2 in terms of x.
One I couldn't solve in class but later when I finished the course..here (cos x+ sin x -1)/( cos x-sin x+ 1) = sin x/( 1+ cos x) You'd be tempted to clear fractions but I'm told that is not the correct procedure only the Pythagorean theorem works.. sin ^2 x + cos ^2 x = 1 is all ya need to know
Yah these identities are easy,, try deriving the Identity tan (A+B+C); it's all complex fractions
Can you maybe do a video on factorizinf using remarkable identities like perfect square?
Bro you are literslly so helpful i love you man keep going
I disagree with the proof by contradiction, i don't think "n is odd" is a suitable negation, and would personally negate with "n is not even", allowing for irrational numbers and so forth which were never stated not to be applicable- a proof by counter-example: if n² is even, then n must be even Assume n²=2 n²=2(1) => n² is even Then n=±(2)^½, 2^½ ≠ even => if n² is even, n is not necessarily even Perhaps "if n² is _a perfect square_ and even, n is even" is more suitable
You’re counter example is valid. n does need to be defined as an integer.
I am a little confused ive watched this video many times to try and understand,How is the radius heights area the same as the 5 being the height. Can someone please explain the answer like you would to a five year old (im slow)😢
MISSEDQUESTIONS 21 AND 22
could the alternate segment theorem be used for question 17
For question 13 why aren't 57.5° and 147.5° also solutions, I expanded the range to 40<4x+10<760 then adjusted back to get 4 solutions.
Why does y have a length of sine0?
I’m learning this on grade 9 😭😭😭
Thanks man that was really helpful ☺️☺️
@ 53.33 do you need to quadratic formula ? do u loose marks if ur just put everything in the calculator?
In general it’s a good idea to show your working in case your final answer is wrong. Examiners can then give you marks for your working out. I am not saying to do it exactly as I do, just to show your method so someone else can follow it clearly
why cant you just add the total in the triangle CBE, to find angle BCE. Which is 50 degrees than carry on with the solution?
I can’t see how angle BCE helps to find the length of AB
this helped bro im watching at 12am for my test tmr 😅
Can you estimate the MEAN from a cumulative frequency graph?
yes by getting the midpoint of the cumulative frequency and then using the corresponding other axis
These are still really hard but thanks 😅😅
Better than sitting 6hrs in class in one topic
Thaaaank you so much🎉
Wdym by A level we did this in Class 9
1/2x=x/2
thanks pookie bear
anyone binging this channel before an exam
Me lol…..
I am paying for my tuition teacher to explain this to me and now I still have to come refer to a KRplus video that I don't even have to pay for. Understood this after this video.
tysm this is so helpful, small question though... what application do you use to draw and explain on?
Notability
Thank you so much! amazing video btw :D@@maths.explained
My brain is braining
I understood this so much
Excellent explanation
👍👍
Excellent video. Thank you.
formula: x=a*b/2
very good video
Thanks i suck at maths this video helped alot!! 👍
Thanks this helped🙏🏼
hey good work , but I think on the third equation its supposed to be - 5 n not 5
Thanks for that late recommendation after my mocks 😊
x -4y
it’s the day of the exam rn🤦🏾♂️
