I watch the PL and Ligue 1, I can tell you the bottom of the league isnt better in England. Does not mean its a lot worse. Its just the same. Although Id say that French teams have a better structural and tactical game in general at that level. And also slightly better on the ball. The mid table is about the same level id say. With maybe a couple teams in England that would top the mid table in France. Top 6 is where England is a lot better than France tho PSG would be top 4 in England, and Lilles, Lens and possibly Marseilles would fight for top 8.

I just don't think has the game intelligence to be at the very elite table of forwards. He makes runs when players are doing a rondo on the other side of the pitch. He doesn't press with intensity when the ball is 10-15 metres away from him, but will sprint top speed when the ball goes back to the opposing goalkeeper from the halfway line sprinting 40-50m+ to try to win a low percentage duel when the odds are stacked against him. He has to learn to manage himself better in that regard. On the other hand, he did score 30+ goals last season. The turning point in our season was losing Eriksen, Shaw and Martinez. This has been overlooked so much and they need to be replaced with quality. This is the issue with our squad, its getting the ball to our forward players with quality to create overloads or at least 1-1. We seem to have sympathy for Hojlund for not getting chances, but it would be interesting to see who is creating Marcus' chances, i'd hedge my bets that he is creating his own chances, and therefore they are low percentage chances. It is so important that we address the squad in the summer. I really hope INEOS make a positive start with player recruitment. We probably need about 7 players. and to have 5+ outbound.

Marcus "visibly can't be arsed" Rashford has been the subject of abuse; he's also been the subject of a lot of entirely correct and reasonable criticism. What he's doing is trying to use the former to deflect from the latter by lumping the two together. His performances this season have been generally terrible, but his attitude and mindset are worse. I'd happily see him out of the club.
