Tomb of Ramesses VI 3D Scanning Project ~ WORLD SCAN PROJECT’s Challenge
Among the royal tombs in the Valley of the Kings, the tomb of Ramesses VI is highly popular for its unrealistic beauty. Inside the royal tomb, there is a linear passageway, the walls of which are decorated with the "Book of Caverns" and the funerary document, the "Book of Gates." The tomb's innermost the Burial Chamber is decorated with glittering ornaments, and the huge sarcophagus in which Rameses VI once slept is also still in existence. The WORLD SCAN PROJECT aims to create an environment in which people around the world can access the ruins by realistically reproducing every detail of their decoration in VR and metaverse.

So tired of this "tomb" dravel. We don't know what the original purpose was, but certainly not a tomb (Edit typo)

Why aren't these ancient "temples" in Egypt NOT called schools/colleges/universities? ALL of the ancient Greek philosophers, mathmaticians & scientists learned what they knew in Kemet (Egypt). They went to what's now called Luxor to be taught for 10-20 years. Yet nobody ever calls anything a school. Everything is called a temple or burial sites as if that all Ancient Kemet/Egypt was about. Those "temples" were schools.

Quit calling it a tomb.... People who didn't build them used them for tombs after their original purpose but that's not their original purpose

This pyramid is not comparable to the Giza ones. Djoser pyramid has very small stones, so I believe it was made by a more primitive civilization

So cool! It was actually used to produce methane from manure as an anaerobic digester.

Howard Carter would find many artefacts and destroy most of them so that those they remained were rarer and worth more. He is a blight on the archaeological community.

Since you guys scan and preserve ancient monuments wouldn't it make more sense if the sphinx had it's modern invasive restoration removed since behind the masonry is the bedrock and how it has weathered over time? Seeing the real body of the Sphinx would also provider further scientific data on recognizing flow patterns of how water used to flow thousands of years ago.
