The video is good presentation of a general overview of the game elements, but optimization it is obviously not. I'd change the title to a more honest one, and then make a perfect start video at a later point when the required knowledge and planning is in place.

I heard this game was suppose to be free-builld-y but those white lines makes it looks like its very not so customized where you can place things...

Man I can't wait to play this myself. Personally I would've placed the manor/castle where you planned to put the Mill. Way closer to town so your taxes get delivered way quicker , and that elevation means that if you got your Garison tower set up right you could watch both sides and have a really defensive position for your Future castle. Couldve even set your walls up to block off one of the roads so youd have to go through the manor to get to the village.

Hopefully the landscape isn’t the same every time

I've seen so much footage of this game that I feel like I've played it and dont really need to purchase it.

Looking forward to this. Gamepass day one makes it an easy yes for me. If by chance it doesn't live up to the hype, at least i won't have spent extra money on it.

It would be cool if one day we could attempt to conquer the world. Somewhat automate your towns by putting your own lords in charge and pick what that town needs to focus on. So you don't have to pay attention to each and every town. Build a navy and sail across the seas, do some naval warfare then conquer another continent.

Are mercenaries a one time of recurring cost?

Wait! This game is made by one dude and you can make custom house plots but a big company like Colossal Order can't allow that in City Skylines 2?

I think the day night cycle option should be put into the custom difficulty options. When turned on, work stops at night except at the tavern. At night you would see more people in an around the tavern. People drinking, dancing, and maybe even playing darts and other bar games. Maybe even fist fights. I would also like to see city defense like in Farthest Frontier, but not just towers. Actually seeing guards with torches walking the city streets at night. Because you have a Lord that you can control in 3rd person and walk around the city, this open the door for some really cool RPG style events. Imagine one night a scream rings out and it turns out there is a hoodlum sneaking around at night stealing from people. Tools, Food, Clothes. The assigned Sheriff would begin an investigation. Every successful investigation would be rewarded with reputation.

i really think that they used different game engine so that there's going to be mods/steam workshop later in the future.

I think the expansion on the burgages is for extra family members, not for extra family. Good for larger plots to tend big gardens.
