0:31 In China, the left turn car needs to yield to upcoming cars that are going straight, but the upcoming car that wants to turn right, actually needs to yield to the left turning car, no matter if the car behind the right turning one wants go straight. Totally screwed up logic :)

Yeah this has to be one of the dumbest things ever. Every single one of these traffic stops should just have a green arrow for left hand turns, problem solved.

Too many people think im "jumping the line" when I zipper merge. Evidently this is not taught in the u.s. driving classes?

Question: if I’m coming from bottom on left side lane and going to the top, and another vehicle is coming from right on right side lane and going across to left, who has right of way when I am about to turn right to get across?

Junctions are my nightmare. I always feel so anxious when cars stop for me. I always get paranoid, thinking if they're mad at me or not lol.

Except that's not how the real world works and overtaking people already in the lane is selfish and entitled behavior. Wait your turn.

2:22 at that moment, maybe your light turns red and you are still in the middle like that waiting for the pedestrian, or maybe there is a huge traffic on the opposite side that u will have to wait, untill your both lights turn red, they will stop flowing, and your traffic will turn red while you are stuck in the middle, thats not a good plan.

If left lane needs to leave enough space for a car to merge in front of him, what is the point? The queue still being the same lenght but in two lanes. And for this tonwork everybody needs to be well coordinated, yeah usually merging at the end makes traffic just stop.

For those who think zipper-merging Is nonsense and require AI drivers to execute. Are also the type of drivers who blow through STOP SIGNS and NOT slow down for the ZIBRA LANE. Basically missing the point where they should anticipate a Kid would just run off the Zibra-lane cause duh, they're kids And they're stupid to begin with. As for merging if you know that lane is ending... Foot off the gas and anticipate merging... If they don't merge and decide to stop w8ing for people to stop for them to merge, that just means that Merger in particular is stupid and doesn't know how to judge wats a safe diatance to merge is and It aint yor prob no more once u pass em.

Our driving school operates in greater Los Angeles area and is shocking how many people don’t know these rules. One reason is that unlike most countries in Europe, in the U.S. driver training is not required after the age of 18. So new drivers learn from a cousin or uncle or parent who in turn never had training and don’t know the rules. It’s why our accident rates are 8 times of that in Europe despite having wide spaces and low populated states. Hope we can change the law so there’d be less tragic outcomes.

If you are on Manhattan Ave and needs to turn left to Route 1/9 South, you are forced to break the laws. If you know Jersey City, you will know what am talking about. That intersection needs a left turn green arrow traffic light ASAP.

Solution: install roundabouts

Here in the US, some places advise against pulling into the intersection prematurely as part of strict red light laws. Check your local ordinances!

If using the inside lane never let the outside lane driver sit near your blind spot. When you turn they might tbone you.

Wrong. It is illegal in most states to enter the intersection and just sit there. You are required to wait behind the crosswalk until it is safe to make the left turn

The zipper is a much more fair system. Pre-zipper you got over 1/4 mile ahead of time and there were always clowns who raced to the front in the empty lane. No one can sneak in with the zipper system since it's one at a time.
