I’m also not used to the presentation of anime, it feels like the season would be half as long if characters weren’t constantly monologuing and repeating the thesis of what’s going on 5 times in a row at any given time. I’m constantly taken out of the story from the over top presentation but still looking forward to season 2. This show takes its subject matter 200% seriously at all times, so when it dives into this excessive anime bullshit every 10 minutes I find it frustrating.

My wife is currently in school for library science. Her class just discussed this case and ones like it. There is an even bigger issue at play. Since the library only has a license for access, many publishers are going back and literally changing history when their works fall out of favor with public perception. 1984 was even more prophetic than we know.

I would rather read YA novels with messy narrative structure and poor time management if it means I get a longer story with real setup, than YA novels that are paced well but lack any punch. That is unfortunately my issue with YA and even YA feeling books that jumped up too high into New Adult and Adult, they have these incredible, vast storylines, then choose to resolve them in only several hundred pages. Rome wasn't built in a day and even though it fell in one, the factors of that fall were in the making for many years.

Daniel you need to Try DOS2 from Larian it is their own IP many people love it more than BG3 and which the same quality of BG3 to be added to DOS universe which will make it even more liked.

Just finished Dune. I enjoyed it a lot, but I agree with you specifically about the issues with pacing - the pacing in the second part called "Muad Dib" felt unnecessarily slow, while everything in the third part, "The Prophet", felt really rushed and way too fast-paced.

This was a fantastic series review. DCC has quickly become one of my favorite series to read/listen to whenever I’m between books and not sure what to move onto. I was very excited to see what your thoughts on the series would be once you got to The Butchers Masquerade. The story really starts kicking into overdrive once Carl and Donut make it to the 6th floor in my opinion. It’s nice to see Jeff get some love during this too. His narration is amazing. I probably haven’t listened to as many different narrators as you have but he’s easily in my top 3 also, probably number 1.

What's the difference between loading library books on a Kindle and a Kobo? I've never owned a Kobo device, but I have a Kindle Paperwhite and I've never had any issues getting Libby books on it. It's the same process as if I had purchased the ebook directly from Amazon. How does Kobo do it?

If I may speculate wildly about the mistborn deckbuilding game. From looking at these three cards, it appears a card may be played using either it's left or it's right side. The left side being the effect, the right side being the vial. In order to use the left side of the card you must first play another card using it's right side that has a matching symbol. As we can see, each card has symbol representing a metal, iron, zinc, and pewter in this example. So if you had two ironpull cards, you'd play one card to get 1 iron element and whatever the second element in the vial is, and that would allow you to activate the Iron element affect, in this case 2 damage and the text effect. In the case of the other two cards we can see that being able to get more of a metal can allow for more powerful effects from the cards. Like with the middle card, 1 zinc gives you 3 gold, but 1 more zinc for a total of 2 gives you 2 more gold for a total of five. It also appears the vial of metal on this card gives 2 gold on its own, so some vials will have effects behind just granting metal. The top right of the card is obviously the cost in gold of adding the card to your deck. Beyond that we can see theirs obviously damage and healing in the game with the cross swords being damage and the green plus being healing. I think it'll either be like Star Realms or a co-op game because of this. Not a fan of sanderson, but I like use a card to play other cards mechanic, so I may check this one out. Just to repeat, this is all speculation from the picture so don't take it as gospel.
