Me and my endurance team have been racing GTP's in special events and the 3 hr IMSA races since they came out. Ever since the rain we all made the decision to go back to LMP2. The GTP's are ridiculous in the wet. Impossible to drive

Eveything is a deathtrap. iRacing's insistence on turning their new rain model up to 11 everywhere, combined with their questionable tyre models was always going to bring carnage.

Almost every time I see the highlight reels of GTP crashing... 60% of the time it's pinching the exit, 15% cold tires and 5% just shit luck... and 20 just snap wtf lol. Best guess is the torque curve of the LMP2 is quite a bit flatter, so easier to drive. Between the Hybrid and the petrol drive it's not exactly linear power to anticipate. LMDH / GTP are hard enough to drive at the limit, add the variability in grip and lowering the threshold of oh s..

He didn't tighten his line more because he was trying to keep front tyres as straight as possible whilst still needing to corner so that he'd minimise front tyre scrub which will slow him down.

In regards to the charity/racing team. I say, go for the racing team this year! You did a great amount for charity last year and could do it again next year. You also don't know 100% where charity money goes and doing this racing team will help peoples mental health and give them a nice experience anyway. You've already got the car so it's not like you're asking people to buy that and it may as well be used. Or if need be, donate like 10% of the money raised to charity or something. Either way, you're helping someone and I'm sure people would like to see the irl content that comes from it so no judgement from me, personally! I do understand the point of view of others though

Great event, really enjoyed watching parts of it live. You did an amazing job, and really proves the sim racing experience does translate to the irl track! Congrats to the Pro-Am team and MSVT commentary & coverage was great. You really get more sense of the speed from the onboard footage and realise they're going alot quicker than it looks from the trackside feed. Great stuff, i'm sure there will be more opportunities for you after this.
