ZombieZifiction whether they pick up a film in pre or post, they're still responsible for getting the films in front of audiences so great pieces of art don't go overlooked or unnoticed. That's almost as, if not more, important than having the financial backing for the production itself. There's pride in making something beautiful in and of itself, but films are obviously made to be seen.

I feel like they were going for that vibe
The theme is interesting and the actors competent, so I'll give it a try. But like pretty much any other trailer, this one makes me think their length should never exceed 90 seconds. I feel like I've watched waaay too much, even if it's not a suspense movie.
That being said... "blood is the essence of what it means to be human"........ whaaaaaa- ? =__=
Trailers are FAR too long these days and show way too much. REIGN IT IN, GUYS.

Saw the movie and it doesn't disappoint. First, because I'm a huge Emma Thomson fan, and second, the performance by both Emma and Fion is Oscar worthy. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself.

Just finished watching this movie and was engrossed the whole way through. The ending completely crushed me. I don't know how to express how upsetting it was to see a lively, bright, and affectionate young person wasted like that to appease the Jehovah's Witnesses elders. The movie did a great job of showing the legal system in family court as well as the emotional cost to everyone involved. Not a movie I'll forget soon. 😢💛🌷

I'm not religious, but the patient should always have the choice on whether they undergo a treatment, whether it kills them or not. However, this doesn't mean the parents should be able to make the decision for them, and a child's life should always be prioritised rather than assuming their faith.
Daniel Sohn......Alfred is right.....life is more precious than dignity......god give life to us but refusing to live longer means ur throwing away wot he give u......this is an example of test given by god... trials like getting sick and the only way for u is to have blood transfusion then don't want to, means u fail the test that he give u......u didn't even try to pass it but instead u rejected it because of selfish beliefs......it is like killing yourself for such beliefs rather than prolonging it.....i think u know that bible says suicide is a mortal sin......right?....unless u have a different bible from another God...... now tell me.......wot makes u think that he is arguing with Jesus...?
Nhobel Trivino Jesus said everybody who seeks to save his life will lose it and every one who loses it will save it meaning that if someone loses their life for obeying God he will bring him back to life but if he disobeyes God to save his own life he will end up losing it, Jesus could have lived longer on earth but he chose to die for our sins, did he not value the gift of life? Of course he did but he cared more about doing the will of his father and so do Jehovah's witnesses the bible says to abstain from blood because it is sacred and belongs to God he commanded it to Noah and to the Israelites and to Christians blood transfusions don't save lives there are way better and safer medical procedures and Jesus's blood is the only blood that can truly save us

Nhobel Trivino well that is not true blood transfusions are not healthy they give you many risks such as getting viral infections, hepatitis and there are over 4,000 people who die each year becase the blood transusion they recieved makes it hard for them to find a compatible kidney, there are way better treatments than blood transfusions not long ago there were doctors in Italy who got together to discuss the progress that has been made in bloodless treatments and how much better it is for all patients blood transfusions are really just a monopoly no one has really ever died from not receiving blood there have been many who have died even when recieving blood transfusions
Johnny blackhawk.....i didn't say that blood transfusions are not healthy .....your are pessimistic enough to think of negative things first that before doing it......it is always a risks of getting viral infections, hepatitis on blood transfusion.....but if you are in the hands good doctor that and good hospital that u trusted it won't happen...RIGHT? ..... i know people who did blood transfusion (not just kidney problems).....and they are still healthy and getting better. ....i SAID the patient who got problems with kidneys NEEDS it......that's why they're getting dialysis because they want to prolong their life and be with their family longer......they need it right away if not they will die slowly.........not all of the people who needs blood transfusion are in italy on what ur saying IF there are doctors who are doing that procedure.....and if there are doctors like that on what ur saying, how much much would it cost for the patient if they don't have enough money for that specific doctor instead of having dialysis?....maybe for some money is not the issue here ....it is the TIME for them to have it......of course it's hard to find a compatible kidney.....it always is....and if the compatible kidney is available....what's make u think that u are the priority for that kidney, there are long list of people who needs it ....u are lucky enough if u are still alive for u to have it.....and where did u get these statement.... "all patients blood transfusions are really just a monopoly no one has really ever died from NOT receiving blood".. r u sure? or u just want to believe urself that kind of thinking because that organization tells u that.....and how many would die if there were no blood transfusion?....compare to ur info of 4,000 people who die each year because the blood transusion they recieved......well if you beliefs are like that so be it and if u are a one of jehovah's witness who would believe YOU on that kind of thinking?.......AGAIN!,.... if that's what u believe then go ahead ......if for u dignity is better than life.....GOODLUCK!
Well, all's I wanted to say is, I LOVE YOU Emma Thompson! I think my favorite movie is Remains of the Day 1992. I love all her movies because she's one of the greatest English actresses ever. Young Fionn is a pretty lucky kid too.

It means nothing tbh. It is milking a dead cow. Blood is business, and there are better alternatives to transfusions. On the holiness of life and blood, only a person with a spiritually inclined point of view will agree to scripture. That is not the norm in today’s world.

this feels like a tv movie not a24 movie :/
From the trailer, I thought the story would be about the court case, but that's only Act 1. Act 2 takes a different turn which surprised me, and the ending was a bit... abrupt? I thought, "That's it?" There wasn't much resolution with her and her husband's troubled marriage, etc.

Another bunch of millionaires pretending to be ordinary, bringing us stories meant to bind us to their charity. Fair enough, they’ll help more people than the likes of me in their life times but the sentiment is lost on me when they become so wealthy, saying that, I’ll probably give it a watch, I am intentionally trapped in the consumerist society after all, what choice do I have?

Muy buena película👏👏, excelentes actores. Refleja la triste realidad que viven día a día los Testigos de Jehová. Con éste y otros temas de conciencia. Hace poco deje esa secta y realmente me siento feliz, libre!! Desafortunadamente no todos lo logran ya que tendrian que lidiar con el ostracismo o sea con el rechazo de familiares y adeptos o hermanos, de esta Religión, quedas excluido. Esto sucede cuando decides abandonar o dejar de hacer algo que ellos consideran correcto, como lo es una transfusión como es el caso de este joven que acepto la transfusión en la película. En la vida real te dejan de hablar, más bien tienen prohibido hablarte y quedas aislado de tus allegados testigos de Jehová, todo esto por Órdenes del Cuerpo Gobernante de la Secta, la JW o Watchtower que gobiernan a todas las Congregaciones de esa Organización o Secta 😢

So much against to what the Bible says- Losing your life and becoming a martyr for God is commendable and thus "Dignity" or "christian dignity" of an honorable death is more precious before the eyes of the Lord
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints"(Psalms 116:15)
While sometimes interesting, this movie was ridiculous. Any leukemia parent, or parent of one, couldn’t suffer through the inaccuracies. The boy would have been bald, the return of his disease from well one day to death bed the next wouldn’t happen, if he had been producing no white cells at all, visitors would be gowned, masked and wearing gloves. I’m a parent of a child who died of leukemia. At least have the decency to play it as it is.
Why does this movie seem familiar?
Human sacrifice seems wrong, if life is sacred.
Jesus was willing to break the sabbath to save a life. If a bull falls into a pit, who of you wouldn’t get it out on the sabbath? How much more value is a man than a bull.
Jesus, a Jew, under the law, understand that breaking the sabbath, was okay when it was life or death.
JW don’t seem to know that scripture. Sure, don’t eat blood. And sure, avoid blood, but if life is in danger, doesn’t this change things? It seemed to for Jesus and the sabbath? The penalty for breaking the sabbath was death. It was a sacred law, one of the Ten Commandments. And yet Jesus understood it could be broken when a life was in danger, even the life of an animal. JW are pharisaical. Human sacrifice is wrong and evil.
Saw it last night. So, a woman who can’t handle her job, emotionally shuts down, destroys her marriage and has a teenage boy pay for her issues with his life. I enjoyed it 😂

Jesika Byd If your doctor tells you not to take alchol, you inject it into your system by veins? You do not think it is the same either orally or through transference ? Something that hurts you goes into your body. There are also many treatments that doctors use today ,which are more effective than blood transfusion .inform your self
Marilyn Tineo You’ve heard the phrase “Don’t use drugs” yet when we are sick we go to the drug store for drugs, using them for their intended purpose. Of course you would not inject alcohol directly into your veins because that would kill you, you don’t metabolize alcohol that way. Blood however, is created for a specific, life-giving function. It is already in your veins, sustaining life as is it’s intention. Consuming it, or using it in any other way other than what God intended is what was to be avoided. In bible times they were not using it to sustain life, they were eating it or using it for false worship and it was disgusting as that is not bloods intended purpose. They didn’t have the ability to transfuse at all or even properly (by blood type, screening for clean blood) then. So to write “abstain from blood” was generally understood according to the misuse of blood for that era. Similarly, “Abstain from drugs”, means don’t abuse them or use them for something they aren’t intended for.
A24 means good movies. But A24 + DirecTV means crap movies.
