And I also hate jump scares, since when is being "startled" an emotion? This movie doesn't rely on any jump scares at all and it truly evokes fear and dread on a real level.

What you said applies to ANY film ever lmao. Every film, every game, everything popular or unpopular always has its share of haters. I fail to see the point you're trying to make.

1. To answer your question, not a lot, at all. However, OP said any horror film with acclaim always has its share of haters. This applies to almost any film. With the films you listed; 4% disliked Pulp Fiction, and 3% disliked Goodfellas (based on Rotten Tomatoes audience score). This doesn't disprove my claim.
2. OP said he bets money the audience is going to hate this film. He then goes on to contradict himself, by listing films the majority of the audience liked.
3. I'm sure that's not the only reason It Comes At Night was disliked. In fact, I bet you the majority of people disliked it because of its misleading marketing campaign. It misled audiences by building up suspense and hype and mystery revolving around what "it" could be. Whatever it is that lurks in the shadows, that comes at night, from the darkness. We go on to never find out what "it" is. This, along with a story which doesn't really go anywhere and leaves many questions unanswered, is probably why most people disliked it. A very similar thing happened with a recent movie; The Annihilation. Similar cases of misleading marketing involve The Witch and The Babadook. By the way, I absolutely love all of these movies.
4. To further disprove you and OP, there have been several horror films met with critical acclaim AND audience acclaim. Such as: It, A Quiet Place, Get Out, The Conjuring, Hush, and more.
There are exceptions for every case, however, to claim that the audience is going to hate this film and to imply that horror films that have significant acclaim are mostly hated by the audience is absurd. To claim that any horror film with significant acclaim has its share of haters is of course true, and is the same thing as saying the sky is blue, or the sun is hot.
