Sandler made my palms sweat so hard in the last 15 mins of this movie. It was chaotic, menacing, disturbing, hilarious... This boy can act! Julia Fox was awesome as well!

2019 was a fantastic year for original films. You had Uncut Gems, Parasite, The Lighthouse, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood just to name a few. So much creativity.

I don’t know why people find it so hard to take him seriously when he hasn’t done his silly comedies in YEARS like it’s not a wild concept. Stop putting actors in boxes, it’s boring

This one is definitely in my favorites of 2019 for sure. It was engaging from start to finish and had that same frenetic energy captured in the brothers’ previous work, Good Time while showing a matured filmmaking prowess. So good in fact, that I saw it several times between Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve…each time as good as the first.

This movie was incredible. Fast Paced, Riveting and I couldn’t take my eyes off Howie for one minute... whoops I meant Sandler! He’s that damn good. Mixed with the incredible 80s-esk score and the Safdie’s direction, don’t miss it guys. See it with a crowd.

Thank you! I was impressed with KG and when I told people, they’d say “he’s just playing himself”. From watching SNL, I know a lot of celebrities can’t even pull that off.

@@johnshields_ The Lighthouse in Smithfield and the Irish Film Institute in Temple Bar will both be showing Uncut Gems from Friday 10th January. Those two in Dublin anyway, don't know if it is playing anywhere else

My favorite film of 2019! Adam Sandler is absolutely electrifying / transformative and I will be completely outraged if he doesn't get an Oscar nomination or even possible win. A24 and The Safdie Brothers have done it again!!!

@@adorablegirl1559 you could try film festivals in your state. Passes aren't too expensive either (I paid 2000 rupees for access to over 30 films) . I went to IFFK 2018 in Kerala and they had Climax, Shoplifters, Ash is the Purest White, Blackkklansman, Roma, movies you would be able to see on a big screen anywhere in India outside of festivals. It's really worth it if you can get to one

This movie sits at *30 million dollars* in the US box office, it could have touched *100 million dollars* easy in the worldwide box office if they would have distribute it *worldwide* instead of giving it to Netflix smh...

I had a feeling of a knot in my stomach the whole movie. I couldn't stand it but couldn't look away.
Sandler shows he has the chops...wow...a real gritty believable performance...really great character study.
It’s really wonderful to see actors or comedians who embraced serious or dramatic roles and did great jobs! eg Steve Carrell, Jim Carrey, Adam Sandler, Sacha Baron Cohen etc.

I just want to know where they found Keith Michael Richards ( the dude main scary dude that follows Sandler’s character around all movie) that guys first role is this film and he’s awesome.
Such a good movie and I can’t get anyone to watch it because Adam Sandler is in it. Explain it is Oscar worthy nobody cares. I was on the edge of my seat the entire movie I was screaming at the television and I was watching it by myself. It is really good. I like Adam Sandler‘s crazy movies but he has also made a couple of other movies where he is serious like Spanglish and punch drunk love.
