As a Swede, I can assure you that this looks like a perfect summary of what we do on midsommar. I did all this shit just yesterday. Fun day with the family.

@@priyotomo203 Oh, it's great. Our meat products are always ensured to live a happy, high-quality life with plenty of room to move and plenty of hours outside in the daylight before they are slaughtered, which yields much higher quality meat.

_Let the Right One In_ introduced me to the beauty of Swedish cinema, and also showed how beautiful and eerie the concept of blood tainting the virgin snow can be. Perhaps setting a film in winter can do something similar.

The other 20% was the voodoo.
I liked the idea of a ai gone wrong robot, but it went dumb , they didn't sustained this idea very well.
Mark Hammil has no place on this movie, why put the voice of a psycho on a doll?
Brad Dourif only did the voice of Charles Lee Ray, not Chucky as a doll.
@@gabrieliatarelli I disagree with the mark Hamil thing I think he did good for the concept of the movie you're right there would never be a replacement for Brad dourif but that's not what mark Hamil is trying to do the remake is a whole new take on chucky try separating the old from the new enjoy both for what they are I thought the ending of the remake could've gone on longer but i enjoyed myself 7/10

there are always good films and not so good films. There are no periods of history worse than another.
@@Silhouetters A24 (The Witch, Hereditary), Amazon (Suspiria, The Neon Demon) are smaller companies that are not catering to the watered down, feel good, jump-scare-needing, escapist horror crowd that enjoys most of the crap out there. It's great to have films available that stay with you afterward, make you think, and create an interest in revisiting. From what I've heard, A24 has done it again with Midsommar.
reel deal I agree, this film is supposed to be in the same universe as hereditary. To me the idea of even having that kind of continuity within these kind of films shows an additional level of care for the craft of producing a great horror film.
The bbq one threw me off. I laughed but I was horrified at the same time 💀💀
The BBQ is reserved for anyone who finds A24 films dull.

A24: 2019’s cure for the sterile and generic common denominator of today - not only Midsommar, but Climax, High Life and the criminally overlooked Under the Silver Lake.
With all these reboots and what not, it's nice to see original and creative out of the box movies still being made.
I'm predicting a D+ Cinemascore (same as Hereditary) or perhaps even an F. Some people wonder why they keep releasing these run-of-the-mill movies because when a director with a certain visual flair and different enough way of storytelling, a lot of moviegoers unfairly downgrade it. 🙄😏
Personally, I love Ari Aster's directing style and storytelling.

A24 fucked up under the silver lake by delaying it many times. fun story: the movie was released internationally late last year and only got a release here two months ago. and even then, some people decided to torrent it in HD.

I’m excited and also a little afraid to see this movie, because I’m not a horror fan and I read on the imdb page that there’s a scene of animal cruelty and I hate seeing animals get killed in movies even if it’s fake it breaks my heart.
They do show a glimpse of what I assume would be that, in the trailer.
