These Echo Buds were basically an impulse buy on Prime Day. krplus.net/upostUgkxK5mc3yw4xA7Mf2j6k6n1Uqv_KUgrKdeM I've lately gotten into pod casts and needed a convenient way to listen. These fit the bill. I am no techie but had no problem with set up. It did take a couple tries to realize Echo Buds will only connect to one device at a time - at least it seems that way for me. The tap controls are 'very' sensitive and the sound is clear. I've been using these off and on much of the day for a couple hours at a time with no discomfort. I'm quit pleased with this purchase and will prob bite the bullet and join Audible to help get through all those books waiting to be read.

I have both and I have to say for me the Airpods Pro 2 are much more comfy and doesn't cause me any pain or discomfort.. I've been using Sony WF-1000xm4s for over a year and I really do not like the way they fit in your ears.. it just gives me discomfort and gives my ear pain after awhile. I never have this issue with the airpods pro 2s. I could wear them all day and even forget I even had them in my ears. Comfort is the most important thing in any good earbud/headphone and the APP 2 are the best for me.

I do not understand, why was not the before after example shown with the Sony as with the Airpods?

My Airpod pro 1 died quickly right after the extended apple care warranty and I switched to XM4.
XM4 is great but sometimes I missed airpod's ease of use with seamless switching between iPhone, apple watch and iPad.
If I am to replace my XM4, I shall go for airpod pro 2 again but with a foam tip

I used them both in the gym with my music. Sonys took my heart. The base is incredible. You can''t go wrong with the airpods too either but if music is what you want from your earbads, sony is the clear winner for me

I have both of these. I love them both.
The Sony M4's have been pretty impressive. I've had them for about an year now. I mainly use them for the gym, cycling, running, and also for airplane travel.
The biggest cons for me on the M4's are that the buds are relatively heavy and adjusting them becomes a constant problem especially and obviously when running or cycling with them.
Another con would have to be the fome tips. Although they are great and far superior to the Air Pods Pro 2's tips, (Don't at me), keeping them clean is annoying as they get oily really fast and ear wax is pretty annoying to clean off as well.
The fome tips also attract dust and debris which is also a constant thing to be cleaning before every use or else your ears will become irritated and itchy, I know... I know.
Another con I have with my M4's is latency when gaming on my mobile device. I've made adjustments to them in settings as well as on my phone settings and made mild improvements.
Lastly, and sadly, another con I have with my M4's example is that they are not consistent with their individual battery life.
I often find that the battery life of either the left or the right ear bud can go drastically lower than the other. Sometimes one of them dies out first leaving me to just put them away and recharge them.
That said, the pros are definitely the looks. They are far superior to the Air Pods Pro 2 design. The mat black color gives them a much more sleek and luxurious look and feel. The bass registers are much fuller and deeper which I appreciate more. The ANC is still above the Air Pods Pro and those tips definitely give them the upper hand. The app is great allowing you to customize and fine tune your sound and can even get louder a tab bit louder.
On the other hand, my Air Pods Pro 2 are amazing. I've only had them for about one week but I already appreciate how comfortable they are due to thier lightness. Adjusting the volume is also much better implemented then on the M4's. The call quality is superior to the M4's as well.
The cons I do see happening on my Air Pods are, although really comfortable, they'll definitely have to be pushed in or adjuted because I can see these falling out far easier than the M4's especially if you swaet a lot during your gym sessions. I also don't like the white color and that not all features are supported on non apple products, which I use these on a Samsung atm. (Currently waiting for my iPhone 14 to get here).
They're both great and about the same price range. So far I'm really liking the Air Pods more but I think the M4's are still at top due to the in depth fine tuning and anc experience.

Wow! The AirPods Pro 2 is a major improvement compared to the first Gen. Although, I think I'll stick with the Sonys because of its ability to have a custom EQ and LDAC support.

I have a sony airpods wf1000xm4
And I have two phones iphone 13 pro max
And Xperia 1 iv
The sound from the wfxm4
It's very normal on an iPhone and I feel that the sound is a little low
But for the sound when I connect it with Xperia 1 iv I find it much better, the sound is loud and clear and the bass is higher , i don't now why but I think Apple makes the product work on the iPhone well if it is made by Apple only

I used my new wf 1000 with those foam tips.
The pressure was awful and after a few days developed an ear infection, pain started in my right ear stabbing pain followed by ear ache, then a fever and horrendous headache.
Dc told me that the foam tips case friction within the ear canal causing infection.
Funny thing is the doc uses same sony we- 1000 earbuds, he says don’t use that foam .
Any way brought some spin cp360s No pain. But..... lost 30% anc and a lot of bass, have to use equalizer .
Shame because the snot foam sounded sooooo good. But what’s the point if it’s painful and dam dangerous.
Still spraying antibiotics into my ear.

The Sony seem to be tested on the default flat eq which has been set for a purpose so that users could tune to their choice whereas Airpods are eq tuned out of the box, better set the Sony XM4 to Excited EQ before testing. XM4 with LDAC enabled would slap the hell out of most buds including Airpods. I've used it on iPhone 13 and S22U and it sounds great on IP13 and extraordinary on S22U..

it would be good to compare both headphones on android and iphone to have a more neutral comparison, since airpods have a certain advantage being from apple, I have the WF-1000XM4 and they sound much better on android than on iOS since on android it uses its codec LDAC (I am an iOS and android user)

Three of your videos convinced me to buy the apple airpod pro 2nd gen. Which alr did few hrs ago. It was good on android as well but on iPhone was simply better. Liked the high details reviews.

I agree that Airpods pro gen 2 is so much better than the previous a lot. On the other hand, Sony WF-1000XM4 still stands the best top 3 wireless ANC earbuds in 2022. I can still use the Sony earbuds for the next 2 years until the next generation will come.

The active noise cancellation sounded better in the AirPods Pro as you could still hear voices come through with the Sonys but the AirPods seemed to drown out any indications of people speaking better. It seems that while the Sonys are great for low frequency noises like a plane engine, it is less capable of dealing with the higher frequency sounds of human voices, which is one area Apple really tried to improve on with the 2nd generation

Great video, best out there. These are the two most popular (IMO) pricey in ears and it’s been such a struggle to decide. Madly (as I’m totally engorged in apple ecosystem) I have gone for the Sonys to at least try them. Fit, is extremely important to me being a drummer for 25 years I’ve actually stretched my ear canal a little due to in ear noise protection. Currently got galaxy buds pro and they sit ok but sound quality is poor as is mic.
I do feel that apple are slightly winning in this video but from what I’ve read, fit and ANC is better on the Sonys. I get the impression that they are a better all rounder? Time will tell. They come tomorrow.

I listened to the the sound comparison using my Sony XM4 and something is just not right with capturing the treble in this video on the XM4. They don’t have such drastic treble drop as in this video!

With comply true grip pro's wf1000 xm4s are much better. Sound, comfort and especially noise canceling. With them i don't hear anything around me. They go way deeper to my ear canal than stock one's. It's fair to compare xm4's using stock eartips, but they are just terrible. My soundcore LP3's have better noise cancelling comparing to xm4's because sony's don't fit well with stock eartips. Even if LP3's stock silicone tips are on xm4's, everything is better comparing to stock sony foam tips.

Jai une petite remarque : j'ai actuellement les wf-1000xM4 et je n'ai pas du tout le même rendu. Je suis en ldac, sans dsee et sans équaliseur.
Le son, chez moi, est bien plus riche, plus ouvert. Sur ton extrait, ça manque clairement de clarté, on dirait que c'est enregistré dans un tonneau 😅
Quand tu les portes, tu as une meilleure qualité du spectre audio ?
C'est dû à la recompression agressive de KRplus ?

Great review. I just purchased the Pro 2s and they are much improved, but I still have the same problem I had with the first generation: I can’t get a seal with their tips. I have large ear canals and had to figure out a way to do so. I use the large Sedna Crystal silicon tips I bought for Sony’s with the AirPods adapter and the results are excellent. The only problem is they don’t fit in the case. I bought the AirPods Sedna tips for gen one last year but they also never gave me a proper seal with either. Same with Comply foam tips. The Beats Pro large tips give me a seal, but not as good as the Crystal’s, but they do fit in the case. Any suggestions for tips that would work for me?

I have both and I barely touch my Sony anymore. AirPods have slightly better ANC and are more comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Although Sony does sound better with adjusted EQ.

The AirPods Pro sounded more lively and fuller, it also has a much better microphone as the Sony’s sounded a lil robotic in the quiet room and could hardly handle the wind at all, the AirPods also has better now cancellation and features considering how much the case could do compared to the Sony’s which doesn’t have any special features with the case which also doesn’t hold as much charges as the AirPod’s case…

Do you think if I have AirPods Pro gen 1 there is a benefit in upgrading ? Or in other words, is it worth 300 euro upgrade ?
