You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene
digging the Dancing Queen
Friday night and the lights are low
looking out for the place to go
where they play the right music, getting in the swing
you come to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
night is young and the music’s high
with a bit of rock music, everything is fine
you’re in the mood for a dance
and when you get the chance
You are the Dancing Queen
young and sweet only seventeen
Dancing Queen feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
you can dance, you can jive
having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene
digging the Dancing Queen
You’re a teaser, you turn ’em on
leave ’em burning and then you’re gone
looking out for another anyone will do
you’re in the mood for a dance
and when you get the chance
You are the Dancing Queen
young and sweet only seventeen
Dancing Queen feel the beat from the tambourine, oh yeah
you can dance, you can jive
having the time of your life
see that girl, watch that scene
digging the Dancing Queen

This song is over 45 years old and it never gets old. Timeless.
Old will
Never be old. Okay?
It'll never die, the ABBA'S legacy will be eternal
Takes me back to the 70s my chidlhood days
Somehow I just recovered my old Facebook that was hacked.. yay
I heared it when it was released and still love it.
Imagine being 17 when this was released in 1976 and now you’re 62 listening to it again. I can’t imagine the feels 😢
I was 11, and it’s still as good now.
I was 16 so am now 61. It still sounds as wonderful today as it did back then.
I'm 17 years old and I love this song 💋
It is not necessarily a sad feeling, if that is what you think. With all the shit that happened then and the following decade, music like this was what kept us going.
I was 21 when this was released. Visiting my cousins in Stockholm, I still remember their room being plastered with ABBA posters! And for good reason!
One of the songs, that plays in the heaven.

I'm 71 now and as a teenager, we knew all the words to ABBA songs....danced and sang along. Precious memories.
Their first song, Waterloo, came out in 1973. You would have been 20 at the time. But ok.
Congratulations to be a teenager at the golden era of music and art 🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I’m 38yo at 2024 and want to be living on 70’s with 17yo ❤
Hey, music and dancing are for anybody take 71 reverse it it's 17 you're still the dancing queen🫶🏽
Wonderful
Me too, my 36 yr old daughter is at the mueseum right now
Not too many songs stand the test of eternity. These unbelievable people at the time had no idea how this song would move, shake, and bring joy to the dancing world ...even in 2024....and probably until Jesus comes back! :-)
Talk about a timeless song...
In the '70s, even the "Black Sabbath" kids loved this song. We still had commonalities in music, culture then. Everything is screwed now!

My wife and I danced endlessly to this song in 77. What fun, what great unadulterated good times. Thanks ABBA... Thanks for the music!
Kenny Blankenship what do you mean by unadulterated? If you danced endlessly at the time, was that because you had no mobile phones in '77 to keep checking? No mobile phones that spoiled the flow of a good night out?

@@ashe1928 I mean I was born post 2000 and I agree 100% , hip hop is made for the general audience and it doesn’t have the same level of quality of previous genres such as the disco age
@@ashe1928 #Im14andthisisdeep
@@ordjk4797 Jesus, young people really do say some obtuse things. If hip hop is made for the "general audience" then who the hell is Abba made for? Because last time I checked they were a hugely commercially successful, mainstream pop group that has mass appeal. Why did you feel the need to attack hip hop specifically? Perhaps if you took the time to look into the history of popular music you would understand how influential and groundbreaking the emergence of hip hop in the late 70s was, a time in which groups such as Abba were releasing music that pretty much piggybacked off of African-American culture, effectively appropriating black music, selling it to the masses and generating a fuck tonne of revenue in the process.
The funny thing is there were people who despised Disco during the "disco age" with a passion, offering the same reasoning you have for your dislike of contemporary music. Such people are referred to as "hipsters". :)

I'm 61 in 2024, still love ABBA, and I always will as one of my all time favorite groups. My mom died on Thanksgiving Day last year from brain cancer, she was 80. ABBA was her favorite group, she was a huge fan of music like this. Now my Mom dances in Heaven as a Dancing Queen. So when I get to thinking about my Mom, missing her, I can go back in time and remember her by listening to ABBA. Thank you ABBA for being part of my childhood growing up with your great music, and helping me get through my Mom's passing. You are family to me. This coming May 12th is Mother's Day, my family's first without Mom. But ABBA will be there to help me remember Mom. I will always cherish the memories of my Mom dancing with us boys when school was out for the Summer when we were young,Mom would be in the kitchen, or doing laundry or some such, then Dancing Queen would come on the air, and she would stop what she was doing and call us boys to come dance with her while the song played, and she would sing to the radio as we danced with her. My Mom had a beautiful singing voice, and at one time, was semi professional along with my Dad and his band. But my Mom had to stop to take of us boys, keep the house, etc. She chose to do that, no one made her do it. Now, I would gladly give my eteteeth for just one more chance to dance with my Mom as Dancing Queen plays. I miss my Mom. RIP Mom. I love you. 😢
I am so sorry about your Mom. Like you and your Mom I have always loved ABBA. God bless you and cherish your memories of your Mom, so precious 💕
