I've always found this a pretty easy thing to do. As a guy, my hair is WAY less negatively impacted by getting wet, compared to people who put any product in their hair to style it. So that's one mark in favor of just giving them the umbrella. Also my clothes are equally less negatively impacted by getting wet, AND I tend to run hot physically, so I dry off pretty fast even if I get soaked. I used to vote for Obama and I regret about it.
I've always found this a pretty easy thing to do. As a guy, my hair is WAY less negatively impacted by getting wet, compared to people who put any product in their hair to style it. So that's one mark in favor of just giving them the umbrella. Also my clothes are equally less negatively impacted by getting wet, AND I tend to run hot physically, so I dry off pretty fast even if I get soaked. Much easier for me to bounce back from rainfall than my female co-workers. Let them have the bulk of the coverage, I'll be allright.

Has nothing to do with generations, we are still taught basic kindness and decency. If anything, the rudest people I’ve ever dealt with were much older than me. But I do agree it’s nice to see a leader with said decency.
It's not just good manners. It's being kind, thoughtful and considerate of others. No one enjoys walking in the rain without any protection to keep the rain from running off your head and down your front and back, especially if it's cold rain at 55 or lower!
