Becky Coty Depends a lot on how long China remains on lockdown. Sadly, so much of what makes American business run is China manufacturing! I’m getting a little nervous hearing that China supplies most all of our pharmaceuticals and my parents are both on dialysis and many of the dialysis components are supplied from China. I do pray that this thing doesn’t hit us hard! For some reason they don’t understand it appears to be mutating into a more virulent bug as it is hitting those in Iran severely! I think the percentage is worse than people say. Take Iran for example. 5 dead and 28 infected, if this is accurate that almost 18% mortality. That’s only looking at one sample.
The Iran virus was sequenced and found to be the same strain with no significant mutations. Thank god. This may be a not very representative sample and hopefully we'll see a lower cfr if other infections are recorded. Not that we want to see more infections, but you know what I mean.

These people are not going to be recorded as they were never tested. It's probably only the really sick people that are going into hospitals so you already select only sick people for the study.

My brother lives in South Korea about an hour away from Seoul. He isn’t worried but wears a mask whenever he goes outside. He just visited Busan and saw everyone wearing a mask, and it’s the same in his city (I prefer not to specify, but it’s about an hour from Seoul and it’s relatively dirty but the people are kind and many speak English)
