Ridiculous, isn't it? I mean, kids weer never really important in Grey's, unfortunately, they were just tools in order to move the adults storylines, but Meredith is a widow single mom and she just flies every week to Minnesota and leaves her kids behind.

@@Nikki-vb5ny Her mom was abusive. Not just busy. She constantly belittled her kid and made her feel worthless. Plus was mean to everyone else so Meredith had no other family either. Meredith is busy but not mean, and she makes sure her kids also have other loving adults in their lives.

Ikr they should have made Mer go somewhere else because Sandra Oh has said she is definitely not coming back so it’s unrealistic
Christina came back from Minnesota and then left for Europe to work at Burke’s hospital so I don’t think they’ll will meet again

Loved the transition from one romantic lunch to a bunch of kids asking awkward questions elsewhere. What a nice episode.

A little hard to believe though as he's the child of two doctors and most of his family is doctors and he goes to school... unless things really are that conservative in the US that even a child that old wouldn't know what sex is and even a child of doctors would have things hidden from him even as old as he is? He seems way too old to be asking that. And it seems odd that Amelia would be so shocked, she's a doctor from a whole family of doctors and a mom who's a nurse?

Apparently they don't think Minnesotans watch Grey's. This is the 2nd time, they did this with Christina, too where they show Downtown Minneapolis or Downtown St Paul and try to pass it off as Rochester, Sheesh!!! Anyways Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it.
This episode was honestly my favorite of the season so far! We love Meredith screen time :) but also like every storyline was cool to watch because none seemed unnecessary…
I politely disagree. So far, imo, every episode has been unnecessary. I miss the old writing, and the old cast.
@@psa921416 I understand that and I honestly try to consciously not compare it so that I can see all the good things. Yes I like the old greys better, just like I for example liked merder SO much more than any of Meredith’s relationships afterward, but that’s honestly life, not everything is exciting all the time and you need to look forward.. for me I totally enjoy everything with the originals (+Amelia and most of jo) (and these characters were highlighted in this episode) but there are just so many characters at this point that they can’t/don’t develop all of the new peoples personalities and so frankly, I don’t care much about hayes & megan or maggies husband, he seems nice but that’s about it. Also I feel like everyones storylines are so separate from each other, like there’s a whole episode with just Meredith and nick or just Megan and hayes.
@@mags3444 i agree. They seem disconnected. I liked the cohesiveness of past seasons. I DO however like Nick, but I've loved Scott Speedman since Felicity two decades ago. Lol I'm angry at Meg's wig...why is it there?! It's like it's own character at this point 😂
@@mags3444 I think the storylines might be separate because of covid. In season 18 they pretended covid was over, but of course in real life when they were filming it was still happening. I bet they tried to write it so the same characters were together in bubbles a lot, and they took out almost all the random patient stories.
I think it's high time Link stop being a full time nanny for all these kids while getting nothing back emotionally 😏
He's their uncle. They're his own child's cousins and always will be, whatever happens between the adults. And their mother was in the hospital and they needed people. He's just being a decent person and looking out for them. Not everything has to be to 'get something back'.

Either they need to move the Meredith/Nick story to Seattle or they need to end the MN story and go back to the Meredith/Hayes, which I don't understand why they veered away from. If Mer isn't interacting with the rest of the cast then what's the point?

I'm wondering how much covid is affecting the storylines. They need to have people interact with each other less and have more small bubbles of people. And very few nurses and patients.

@@desertgirl6511 What was bad about her mom wasn't that she worked a lot of hours, it was that she was abusive. She berated and humiliated her child constantly, made her feel unlovable and disrespected, and isolated herself and her daughter from other adults so Meredith didn't have other adults to care for her either. Meredith doesn't care that her mom worked a lot, she cares that her mom was awful to her.
Meredith and Scott storyline is honestly so boring to me😭
It's because nothing really happens. All they do is chitchat. The next episode should be more interesting. They're going to have a conflict, emotions will rise. Should be interesting.

It’s so boring because it’s just the two of them in a vacuum. Meredith spent all of last season in a coma, not interacting with anyone but her hallucinations. Now she’s in Minnesota, not interacting with anyone other than Nick and occasionally Amelia.
