All they wanted was for Japan to accept what happened and apologize, yet that Japanese man decided to get her in trouble for the faults of his own country. I understand that present day Japan didn’t do that injustice to those Korean women, but their country still hasn’t acknowledged it or apologized. Even if it’s a sensitive topic to the Japanese people, it’s an even more sensitive topic to those Korean women and those who sympathize with them. those years of torture need to be payed back with AT LEAST an apology. EDIT: Since some airheads are throwing abusive words at me for being "pro-war", let me repeat: I'M KOREAN. I HATE THE COLONIAL PERIOD. *However I do think Jimin's T-shirt is offensive.*
Jesus christ the internet is filled with fools who can't read nowadays.
      to those koreans attacking me:
      Jimin's shirt was offensive though?
Let me give an example: Because the Japanese colonized Korea, slavery in Korea was abolished and slaves were freed. When the Japanese came to colonize korea, they were shocked to discover that there were still slaves in Korea, so they freed them, built schools for people, and provided ppl with food and homes.
Say there's a t-shirt about korean slaves being freed, and a photo of the japanese colonizing Korea next to it. Factually, yes, the japanese colonial period freed millions of koreans and gave them a new life, but the colonial period itself is considered a painful past for koreans. Therefore the T-shirt would be offensive to Koreans. The same applies to Jimin's shirt.
Although the atomic bomb did free Korea, putting a photo of the death of tens of thousands of people in a context of celebrating it is extremely rude.

      @suhainzaman5064 3 년 전 +11

Hi there! a little comment about what was said at the timestamp 4:03 I need you to understand why that particular was actually offensive....I'm a muslim girl and I found the use of a mosque in the background of a performance to be extremely offensive to my religion, mosques are considered to be sacred and holy places. Some might dub this as cultural appreciation rather and appropriation, however I find context to be extremely important there is so much more to mosques than their aesthetics. I know that this might be koreans not understanding the holiness of mosques for muslims, however if you are going to use something from another religon or culture it's important to research create self-awareness if you don't then stuff like this happens
Not to mention that music and dance about pre-marital love/relations are banned from mosques. So using it in a musical performance like this is extremely disrespectful. However I know that it’s not the idols that should be blamed for this but rather the companies managing them so I get it but still!

Exactly! I'm indian and we don't just do it for marriages, we even do it if we're bored for a few minutes with absolutely no reason!

The thing is that type was for religious reasons and it mocks the religion and art.

@@anuabraham8613 exactly. I am an Indian too but I never knew wearing henna will be something offending

julie x Henna is not always for religious purposes. It can be for a party, wedding, or even just to go see a friend in another state/country. It doesn’t mock us but some people might find it disrespectful because it’s used for special purposes in their culture/family.

Coming from a Hindu, the henna thing isn't even an issue. It's style, nothing else. As long as they weren't mocking anyone there shouldn't be a problem
