Well, that was a really courageous performance by Alexander Donchenko! He never backed down and kept Carlsen occupied - and thus avoided falling victim to a typical Carlsen grind. Probably Caruana will have to do the very same thing if he wants to stand a chance in their World Championship match.

As much as I would like to continue with the Fischer series, I always appreciate seeing some Ding Liren analysis. Being on such a long undefeated streak while constantly playing top competition is really quite the feat. While draws are far too common in this era he's played enough tough opponents that you'd figure a loss would have appeared somewhere. Even with his accident he is still able to focus and compete at the highest levels.

I am extremely pleased that you posted this game! I was seriously considering buying a more powerful computer, however, I played the moves out with my fritz16 & it IMMEDIATELY gave 25.g4 with a .77 advantage, compared to .07 for g3 which it gives as the next best move. So, I don't think it takes a 'super computer' as I do not have a a powerful computer......3cpu power. YOU get a 'SUPER-UTUBE CHANNEL POSTER' though, for going from 5k subscribers on July 8, 2017 to 281K today! Well deserved!! Keep up the outstanding work, I love it!

7:09, pawn on F3 can en passant too, can you please explain why it will be a bad idea for black?

g4 is a move very deep
g4 i see a good move but Rg8 ( lost pawn ) makes you abandon the idea of playing it
    i personally play the quiet Qxf3 ?
