I really love Soo Hyun eyes everytime they performed this song live. She just looked into the camera & stab you so deep with her gaze & that simple eyes movement actually makes the song more intense & powerful than it should be.

I still can't believe that she's 14 years old. It's like my first time seeing someone in kpop more younger than me and she's so talented ^^. I really like AKMU !

I know there are actually quite a lot of people who have already noticed this, but when Chanhyuk raps he seriously does sound quite similar to GD. If you close your eyes and just listen to his solo verse at 2:01, you can make a clear comparison by the bare tone of his words and the way he says them.
It's not that he gives off a "GD" sort of vibe, because tbh adorkable little Chanhyuk is about as far away from swaggy badass G-Dragon you'll ever get, but it's just that his rapping and tone in general *sound* a lot like GD -- add in his composing ability and his really emotional deep as fuck lyrics, and you can see a little Tablo in him as well.
This is very interesting to me, because I've never been able to seriously compare two YG Family members before because they're all just so diverse and different from each other. But anyway, even though I haven't been with AKMU since their Kpopstar days, I will definitely be keeping a look out on them from now on. This was a great debut stage, I hope they win 1st place and I wish AKMU the best of luck. AKMU, fighting!

One of the very few performances in kpop where the singers just stood still and SANG. No fancy choreography, not flashy outfits, no agyeo or the idol pulling some fan service. Simply there to sing, and put forward a heart-felt performance. This is what I call an Artist.

They are not nervous. The song has a deep meaning. They've performed several times. They're professionals. As professionals, they need to portray the song's depth. The song is a sad song that points out society and their cold hearts that are hard to melt. Of course they aren't going to be loud about it. They are children and even their culture is portrayed in this song as well.

Oh and I got my own copy of the album today, it's really pretty. I was kinda sad that it's not too fancy like other YG albums, but I thought it fitted the image of Akdong Musician better. It's still really pretty btw! The canvas-like surface of the album reminded me of Fever's End album of Tablo. :)

I'm gonna be repeating what others have said as well, but those people who seem to think these guys are nervous in this performance... solemn, sombre doesn't necessarily equal nervousness. The song itself is about the fact that adults seem to be often so cold and heartless and that if they were to 'melt', as in become less 'cold', then they would be warmer, as in more loving etc. Using the analogy of temperature, ice etc to adults and their stance on life - and perhaps towards children. So it's only appropriate that they're dressed down (type of sensible clothing that children would be dressed in - innocence) and in white (purity). Their expressionless faces are meant to represent the inability of children in understanding why grown ups seem so angry and cold, as well as a hurt and disappointment that children may feel as a result. If they were nervous (for what reason, I don't know, since from the first time we saw them on KPop Star they were so relaxed and confident that the judges noted it), it may show more clearly through their vocals (wavering etc), but they were strong and confident in that department, too. What are you expecting from the tone of the song? Dance? The diva-vocalist face that people pull when they think they're really good at singing a Whitney song? I really can't think of any other setup, actions or expressions that would have suit this song better.

They looked so nervous and it showed in their faces and their singing. I think it was all nerves but they still did great. Love them!
