BassoProfundo20 she quit because she didn't like it. It's not like you master classical technique in a year, it's years and years. She has a better head voice than these pseudo opera singers. She is more Broadway though.

And she has lots of potential her range is quite vast and somewhat free. In terms of belting she gets tense which I think that's what causes her to strain her voice, but nothing she cannot fix

She seems like an extremely high-set soprano, which makes her ease with lows that much more remarkable. She reminds me of Taylor Swift in that way.
Vocal Station true she reminded me of Taylor that way too. Taylor is naturally a soprano but she has such ease with low notes it leaves me so jealous :( I was impressed by Colleen's low notes here too

Kelvin Singer Taylor has all the lightness and brightness of a textbook light-lyric soprano, along with the relative ease in belting, and the passaggio between D5 and E5. Everything about her screams soprano, she was just gifted with extraordinary lows. Her C3s, though, seem like they are near the bottom of her range. I would be surprised if she could dip below B2.
Vocal Station Are we listening to the same Taylor Swift? Because she can barely sing songs that a mezzo would sail through. She’d absolutely fail if she tried to sing something written for a soprano. She doesn’t have ease anywhere in her range. She’s one of the most subpar pop singers right now.

you cant put down selena, she may not have the best range but she is still a great singer and actor. I personally love her for her personality and was someone who never went crazy from disney channel and her strength fighting lupus.

If you look at a keyboard there are octaves from 1-8 so the note she sings is the first part such as C, A, B etc then the octave is the second part which is the number after the letter. That probs makes no sense lol

BassoProfundo20 vibrato means nothing, because there are plenty of ways to achieve vibrato. You can strain the crap out of a note and still sing it with vibrato. Of course - if you sing a note with great support, it usually happens naturally. But there are so many other techniques to achieve it and .. it means nothing
