      The best diet and the best way to lose weight is always the simplest way, which for me was a 5 to 10 minutes of a workout every single day because then there is zero excuse to not get up and do it and if I don't have to argue with myself about getting up to do it at all then I've already succeeded in getting it done

    Seriously, it baffles me how drinking water is such a hassle or a challenge for most people. I think it has to do with americans being so used to drinking soft drinks and such. I was born and raised in italy, and ive never known anything but drinking water, most of the time from the tap. My eating habits have been anything but healthy, as an italian i eat an insane amounts of pasta and pizza and bread and meat and generally just eat A LOT! But i’ve never been physically unhealthy, i’ve always been at a healthy weight point my whole life.
    Long story short, all of this was just to say how IMPORTANT water is! It truly is healing and balancing!

      @analimedina565 4 년 전 +32

      I think what she means, or what I've heard nutriologists, say is a bit different. Me personally I only drink water, still, I only drink it when I eat. So it's still under drinking, I'm still constantly dehydrated because it doesn't mean to just avoid fizzy drinks (obviously that works a lot, and makes such a big change, but, for the long healthy journey it isn't that important), you need to drink 24/7 water in order to avoid cravings.

      it seems like you just have a high metabolism lol. I’ve never really liked pop and the only thing I ever drink is water and sometimes coffee that I basically drink black. I wouldn’t say I’m overweight or unhealthy but I eat a lot of pasta and bread too. I’m not skinny so I don’t think only drinking water makes much of a difference. I don’t understand why it’s such a hassle to drink water for some people, either, but it’s easy to forget to drink a lot of it.

    • @emilydalton9741

      autumn maybe it’s the pasta and bread? i know i just said it isn’t unhealthy (which it’s definitely not) but like if you’re not eating whole wheat that might contribute to it, or if you eat a lot of pasta. vegetables are always the best to eat :)

    She is so right about all of this! Another thing I realized though that ppl don't talk about enough: the people we see on instagram (fitness bloggers, insta models): their literal job is to look that way. They can put hours and hours into looking good because that is their business. This is in no way devaluing their hard work, but it it puts it in perspective. I work in healthcare and after a 14 hour shift 6 days a week I just don't have the energy to invest in a 2 hour workout multiple times a week and THAT IS OK. We are all doing our best, take it easy on yourself if the changes don't happen as fast as you want.

    • @MariahLynnReviews
      @MariahLynnReviews 4 년 전 +21

      It can be, but weight fluctuates so much, that it can be good to weigh yourself at least 3x/week and then take the average. What if you weigh yourself only on a day that you are holding into water or bloated? Then you'll feel discouraged when the next day you could literally be a pound or 2 less. It can also be helpful to see how your body responds to certain things, and a way to see if you have any inflammation effects from certain foods. Ex] ate more dairy the day before, woke up bloated and up 1 pound.

      Hi! You should really be proud of yourself for trying so hard. Dealing with depression is hard, so give yourself the time to heal. Don't be mad if you don't see result immediately. See working out as something for yourself, you taking care of your body, and not as something you do to look good for others. No matter what you are beautiful the way you are! If you want a talk, I'm here. I've been thru a depression and so can you!! X

      I am having depression and stress from life, work, and relationships in general. I do workout more, feeling as if I released all the negativity through punches, jumps, and sweat and heat. You will feel better about yourself when you look at your toned body in the mirror. All the best girl!

    • @Katie-kp6cf
      @Katie-kp6cf 3 년 전

      Working out will actually really help your depression! I've had pretty severe depression for a couple of years now and I've learnt that I can't rely on motivation, I simply must JUST DO IT. It will be hard at first, but I've found it's so much easier when you don't even think about it, you just do it.
      Build exercise into a habit, even with things as small as a 20 minute walk, it doesn't always have to be an intense workout. And it'll get easier over time, trust me! Don't think about if you "feel like going", because when have you ever done exercise and thought, 'oh I wish I'd have stayed in bed instead'??? NEVER!!
      Exercise is said to be even more effective than antidepressants, so just remind yourself that when you're struggling to get yourself out of bed. See exercise as "taking your medication". Think about all the wonders it'll do for your mind rather than just focusing on how your body will look at the end :)

    Okay, with the comparison thing: when I first started my own fitness journey, I realized it was important to already love myself as I was SO HARD. Because now, It's obvious I've lost weight and that I've become brighter. Yet when my mom asks me things like, "Do you want me to update your pictures around the house?" or when people say things like, "Is it cringey for you to look back?" I tell them a big at NO. Because that girl is beautiful, wonderful, and kind. I love her like I love me now. I talk about my past self as if she were a friend I have now. I would never say, "I'm glad I don't look like that" because then I'm giving my future self permission to say that about present me.
