I related to this so much because I feel self-conscious every day. I felt like everyone was pressuring this idea of a perfect person who I needed to be for them. I found myself wondering what I wanted to do or what I wanted to be, and found myself pushed into a corner of doubt and stress about whether or not kids at school were talking about me. I honestly really needed to hear this, because, while I'm not in the public eye like you, I still have to be this person who my friends and family want me to be. I felt I was too loud or too energetic or too rude whenever I behaved around my friends, and it got to the point where I didn't even know how to be unapologetically myself. I love you, Alisha, cause I feel like I have grown with you over the past year and been unapologetically myself, something I aim to work towards in 2020. I think you are stunning in every way and shouldn't need to feel that you need to be a role model or a perfect human being, because the truth is, no one is perfect, even if they may seem so. I am now a senior in high school and I absolutely love these videos where you step out of your comfort zone to show the true you. I am so glad you are finding yourself and inspiring others to do so as well! I had an experience in middle school that over the past 4 years has helped me become my true self. Even though my journey won’t end for a long time, it’s really comforting to have someone to relate to and learn with even if it’s over a KRplus video by you!
