My point is theres no way they are doing this without making sure there is no permanent harm/deformation being inflicted (if they haven't checked then thats crazy). Either way anyone who was hit by the hammer has probably signed some form of consent somewhere implying they are ok with being hit/hurt.

If they aren't complaining there probably isn't much of a problem (yes silence can hide pain, but that does not mean that it always indicates it). Again IMO, showing concern is good, but being overly aggressive over it isn't really necessary (that's just the feeling I picked up from the diction being used, but perhaps it's just me).
